Are Medina County census records readily available to you? I'm looking for information on Alpheus BROWN, who said he was from Medina County when he bought land in Michigan in 1864. John M. Forsythe bought land in 1790-1907 Land Records. He had a son named Albert Delos Forsythe who was born in Medina Co.,Ohio 27 Jan.1862. John had 5 sons and 4 daughters. Names of those we know are, in addition to Albert, are Rob, Flora, Minnie, and Cora. The family moved to Kentucky, then Iowa and settled in Minneapolis in 1885. Amos HENRICKS (1813-1867) lived in Guilford Twp. from before 1840 to the late 1850's. He worked as a carpenter, making furniture, coffins and other items. He married Elizabeth MEANS in 1836 in Bucks Co. PA. She died in Medina Co. 1843. Children: Susanna (married Abraham OBERHOLZTER), Barbara (married Jesse SMITH) and Jacob (died as a babay). Amos married 2) Susanna BERGEY CASSEL, daughter of Abraham BERGEY and Elizabeth GROFF. Children: Levina, John Berge, Jeremiah and Franklin, all born Medina Co. A copy of Amos's ledger in which he kept track of the people he did business with and how he was paid is in the Wadsworth Library. Date on this is 1847-c.1857. Interested in information on all the above names.

Franklin James TILLOTSON, born in Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio on April 3, 1824, was married to Jane Ann SEXTON who in born in Brunswick, OH. on December 16, 1847. She was the half sister to Caroline Maria Sexton and the daughter of Henry Yeoman Sexton and Roxa ADAMS. Franklin and Jane Ann moved their family to Duplain, Clinton County, Michigan in 1852 along with the Hicks family. In so doing Franklin and Jane Ann were following in the footsteps of the Sextons who had moved there in 1850. I would appreciate any help on the TILLOTSONs, SEXTONs, AND BENNETTs.
