Looking for the parents of John WHITFORD, b.abt 1817 in Ireland, d.1869 in Canfield, Mahoning Co., Ohio. His wife's name was Margaret. Their children were: Joseph, John, Robert, Alexander, and Jane. The WHITFORD's lived in Paterson, Passaic Co., New Jersey before moving to Ohio. Any info about this family would be appreciated.

I am doing research on the GLENN family. William S. GLENN lived around N.Lima in the 1840's and was married to a women whose maiden name was TITUS. Her brother was Miles TITUS. I have traced the GLENNs back to about 1816-1819 in PA.

His son Thomas was the founder of the town of East Rochester. Seeking contact with other researchers and descendants to trade information.

Seeking info regarding the BISSELLs of Mahoning and Trumbull Co, OH. In Particular: Benjamin, Annis, John P., and Captain Warren BISSELL, all possible children of Benjamin Bissell (II) and Mabel GRISWOLD of Litchfield, CT, circa 1750-1850. Included: any poss. info of Lura SWIFT, wife of Waren BISSELL possible dau of Zebulon SWIFT, also of CT and Trumbull.

Looking for info on the FIELDS family that lived in Berlin Twp in the mid to late 1800s. The father's name was either John or Henry. The 1850 census says Henry but the tombstone in the North Berlin Cemetery (Mt. Moriah) has John. His wife's name was Elizabeth and their children were: James, Peter, Mary, Catherine and Sarah. Julia Ann FIELDS, my g-grandmother, is believed to be their oldest daughter. All were born in Pennsylvania and John, Elizabeth, Catherine, Peter and Sarah are buried in the North Berlin Cemetery. Elizabeth's maiden name may have been COOK but this has not been verified. Julia Ann married Eli BAIGHT in September, 1849. They moved to Portage County sometime after 1860.

Looking for decendants of Andrew Jackson ANDERSON who settled in Jefferson Co in 1797. The 4th generation David ANDERSON (1890- 1957) branch moved to Mahoning Co. David had a brother, Richard (1895-1980) and a sister Amanda (1891-1966). David married Melva HEASTAND and had the following children: Rolland, Roy, Clifford, Orlin, Fern, Hazel, Dale, Pearl, Raymond, Wilma, and Betty.

Campbell. P/o Thomas Wilbert 'Bert', George 'Oliver', Ray 'Lynn'(my grandfather), Laura Leona, Zora "Goldie", and 'Martha' Melinda. John A. died 1908, buried Superior, NE. Would also like to know the name of Ellen's mother.

Anthony AGUE (AGA, AGG, AGU, EAGUE, EAGY, EGE etc), was in Bedford Co, PA. 1788-97 and by 1806 in the Youngstown, Mahoning Co area. He died near there after 1826. Known children were John, George, Anthony and perhaps David. His son John moved to Allegheny Co, PA, and married Margaret SHANKS. Information needed on the wife, origins and parents of Anthony AGUE.

Looking for info about Levi PHILLIPS. Levi b 1805 in PA, his wife Hannah Matilda (???), two children William b 1832 and Harriet b 1834, moved from PA to Columbiana Co, OH between 1834 and 1839. They lived in Smith Twp in 1840 (which became part of Mahoning Co in 1846.) The 1850 US Census has the family still living in Smith Twp. William m 2 Aug 1857, Mary Louisa YEAGER in Goshen Twp, Mahoning Co; Louisa m 20 Feb 1857, George W. BATES and they resided in Beloit, Mahoning Co, OH. More information available for anyone who connects.

Looking for info on James MACKAY (possibly MCKAY) who lived in Ohlton, Mahoning Co, in 1886. His wife was Bethea MORRISON. Both were born in Scotland. Their daughter, Jean Brown McKAY, was also born in Scotland on 10 Nov 1865. Their other children were Mary, Betty, Jessie and Alex. Any infomation relative to these McKAYs would be greatly appreciated.

Seeking info regarding parents & siblings of the following couple: John WILSON b 1827 County Down, Ireland, d 9 Feb 1891 Edinburg, Portage Co, OH; married 20 Nov 1851, Mahoning Co, OH, Sarah E. DAUGHERTY b 8 Jul 1834, d 8 Sep 1916 in Edinburg, Portage Co, OH. Unsure where Sarah was born, could have been Ohio or Pennsylvania. Family story says she had an older sister Rebecca, married and living in PA. Both their parents were killed in a family home fire and Sarah was raised by the CASSIDY family in Alliance. Regarding John WILSON, family stories say his family was already in OH when he came over by himself between the ages of 7-9. Any help regarding both sets of parents and sibilings would be greatly appreciated.

My GGrandfather, William GILL, b 22 Feb 1834, Albany, NY, d 9 Oct 1887 in Youngstown, Mahoning Co, OH; m Eleanor Elizabeth GILL on 5 Nov 1857, West Troy, NY (both had GILL surname.) My Grandfather, Fred GILL, was also born in Albany, NY, d 1 Jan 1930, Youngstown, OH. Having difficuly identifying William GILL's parents. Contacted State of New York, Dept of Health regarding Birth records to no avail since they only go back to 1881. I haven't contacted Mahoning Co vital records as yet. All comments will be appreciated.
