Hi,
I am desperate to find more information on the family of Moses Cummin(g)s that lived in Knox County between about 1830 and 1841, before moving to Ray County, MO.

This information was sent to me by another researcher: "Ann's father, Moses Cummins, Esq. had been a Justice of the peace: the Norton Banning 1862 history of Knox Co., Ohio gives a sketch of this family." This quote apparently came from a book about the Teegarden family written about 30 to 40 years ago. I have been unable to locate the authors.

I found one hard copy and two microfilm copies of the Norton Banning book at the Sutro Library in San Francisco. I did not find any information about the family of Moses Cummins in any of these copies. Is it possible that there are other copies of this book that have sketches of Knox county families including the family of Moses Cummings?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

My g grandfather FREDERICK DICE was born in Fredricktown, OH 11 Nov. 1869; his father was WALLACE DICE; I do not know who Wallace's wife(Frederick's mother) was; I believe Wallace's father WILLIAM DICE b. 1814 Fountian Co, IN, might've come to Knox Co from IN years earlier with his brothers PHILLIP DICE and ELI DICE. A PHILLIP DICE appears on a 1850 Ohio Census entry for Knox Co, Morris Township; WILLIAM and PHILLIP both appear on a 1840 Ohio Census for Knox County. Where might I get a birth record for the Frederick DICE above? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm pretty new at this.

Hi,
I would like to find documentation that would prove the relationship between Moses & Catherine Cummins and the children listed below.

I need more than just census records that show them all living in Knox County, Ohio. There was more than one Cummins family in Knox county around 1835 and I need to determine which children belonged to which family.

1.. Moses Cummins-1592 (1787-1869)
sp.Catherine Shields-1593 (1788-1869)
2.. Elizabeth Ann Cummins-1603 (1815-1888)
sp.Moses Teegarden-1604 (1810)
2.. Madison Cummins-1611 (1817-1891)
sp.Patsy Davis-1612 (1818-1845)
sp.Sarah E. Unknown-1613 ( -1912)
2.. Catherine Cummins-394 (1820-1899)
sp.Noble D. Bostwick-393 (1818-1896)
2.. Nancy Cummins-1594 (1827-1873)
sp.Aaron Teegarden-1595 (1816)
2.. Rhoda Jane Cummins-1605 (1828-1984)
sp.Edward Teegarden-1606 (1826-1901)
2.. Philanda Cummins-1608 (1830-1893)
sp.Shanks-1609
sp.Aaron Teegarden-1610
2.. Thomas Cummins-1596 (1832-1852)

I have documentation that will prove the relationships for:
2.. Elizabeth Ann Cummins-1603 (1815-1888)
sp.Moses Teegarden-1604 (1810)
2.. Nancy Cummins-1594 (1827-1873)
sp.Aaron Teegarden-1595 (1816),
but need the same type of information for the remaining children, especially Catherine (Cummins) Bostwick.

Have you researched any of these families? Do you have biographies, family Bibles, old letters or any other documents will help me.

Thank you for any help you can provide.
