I am looking for information on a SMITH family that lived in Mt. Vernon, Knox county, Ohio. I do know they lived there in the 1950's. Don't know parents names. Samuel, Lester or Alexander(Lex or Lec nickname), Pearl, Joe or John, Harry, Mary, Margert, Marie. One of these people owned a white lion as a pet as late as 1957-1960. Also it is I believe Samuel and wife? adopted at least 2 black children, and ? white children. I know it sounds kind of odd but it's all I have to go on. Most of these people probably would have died 1960s. Anyone with a clue about this family please contact me e-mail [email protected].
