I am researching the BEARNES family of Knox. Originally they came from Licking. Jacob Bearnes died in 1862 in Knox and is buried at Old Centerburg as are many other Bearnes family members. I am interested in finding descendants of this family. Jacobs`s probate mentions family Bible, pictures and books. He was married to Elizabeth FULK in Licking. He had two brothers, Ashford, and Philip, both of whom were at the estate sale in 1862. Their father was George Bearnes who laid out the village of Amsterdam in Franklin township. He married Catharine SIGLER in MD in 1797.

I am searching for Hiram H. Hogue and family member. Hiram H. HOGUE born 1854 in Harrison County, OH to Robert Hogue and Catherine DEWITT of New Jersey. Robert Hogue is believed to have been born in PA. Robert and Catherine had five children four of the five are: Pheobe A., Hattie, John, Hiram H. Also, there seem to be variations on the spelling. In a biography of Hiram H. Hogue, the spelling was Hogge, but land records are all Hogue for that same piece of property mentioned in the biography. If anyone has information on the Hogue family or can do lookups, I would be sooooo greatful to you. Hiram later moved to Knox county for a while then on to Kansas.
