Many of the families in this book are early settlers of Jefferson County to which hardly if any church records remain of the Good Hope church in Osage and Bowling Green which is known as Knox Township. The research which the author has done is invaluable to genealogists searching for connections to the German community that once was located in the area. For the purpose of helping others connect and find their families and history of Jefferson County and surrounding areas this book is being advertised for that sole purpose.

This is a photo taken of the church that was known as the Osage Church in Knox Township. The sign in front of the church has, "Osage Lighthouse Mission" in front. The cemetery is located in back and to the side of the Osage Church. Photo courtesy of Danice Ryan
