WILLIAM SUHR TAKEN BY DEATH AT AGE OF 84

William Augustus Suhr, aged 84, passed away at his home a short distance east of Norwalk on Route 18 Monday evening, after a brief illness.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Gertrude Suhr; the daughters, Mrs. John Wilson of Sandusky, Mrs. Walter McClain of Cleveland, Miss Violet Suhr at home, Mrs. George Surrarrer of Litchfield, a son Curtiss at home; the brother Judge Charles Suhr of Norwalk, a sister Mrs. Mary Sinz of Fresno, Cal., 13 grand children, six great grand children, and a number of nieces and nephews. Three children preceeded him in death.
Mr. Suhr was born in Norwalk and spent his entire life in the community. He was engaged both in farming and in the operation of a filling station, restaurant and repair shop on his property.
The death of Mr. Suhr will occasion widespread regret. He was a man of many fine traits of character and held the esteem and respect of a large circle of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday from the Laible Funeral Home, in charge of the the Rev. Stanley Stahl of the Universalist church. Interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
