FRANCES I. TUZZO

Frances Indovina Tuzzo, 81, of East Seminary Street in Norwalk, died Wednesday morning in Fisher-Titus Memorial hospital after a short illness.

Mrs. Tuzzo was born in Termini Imeresa, Palermo, Italy, the daughter of Savatore and Marie Amato Indovina. She came to America as a young girl and lived in Norwalk until 1937, when she was married and moved to Detroit. She worked for the Fisher-Norwalk Company prior to her marriage. Mrs. Tuzzo returned to Norwalk in 1977.

Survivors include a brother, Charles Indovina of East Detroit, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Philip (Marie) Manderachia, of St. Clair Shores, Mich; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Tuzzo was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, in 1973.

Local funeral arrangements were handled by the Heaston-Gerber Funeral Home. The Bognasco Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores, Mich., is handling burial arrangements. The funeral will be at St. Isaac Catholic Church in St. Clair Shores.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to charities of the donor’s choice in Mrs. Tuzzo’s name, with sympathy cards going to Mrs. Phillip Manderachia, 22765 Grove St., St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
