CORBETT ROWE

NORWALK – Corbett Rowe, 84, of 73 Glover Ave., died at home Sept. 19 after a lengthy illness.

He was born May 12, 1910, at Seitz, Ky., and has lived in the Norwalk area for 41 years. He was the son of Newt B. and Emily (Back) Rowe. He worked at Whirlpool Corp. in Clyde.

Mr. Rowe served in World War II in Germany and France and was awarded the Good Conduct Ribbon with a Bronze Star Medal and the Fame Theater Ribbon with five bronze stars.

He was saved about 15 years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Genormal (Caskey) Rowe, whom he married Feb. 28, 1946, at Paintsville, Ky.; sons, Bobby and John of Bellevue; daughters, Margaret of Bellevue, Barbara of Norwalk and Linda and Mary Lou of Clyde; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, Warren, Jim Henry, Oswell, Oscar, Claudy and Orbin; sisters, Junie, Eza Mae, Edna, Girty and Lucy; a daughter, Francis; and a granddaughter, Christine Back.

Burial was[sic] be at the NB Rowe Cemetery in Seitz, Ky.
