MONROEVILLE - George Rose, 85 years, four months and 16 days, passed away Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alva Gilson, 135 ½ Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk, after a few months illness.

He was born Dec. 21, 1860 at Sandusky. He lived at Monroeville for the past 50 years. His wife preceded him in death.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gilson of Norwalk, and Mrs. Eva Rock of Monroeville; two sons, Ralph Rose of Monroeville and Leonard Rose of Sandusky, and nine grandchildren.

The body is at the Edward J. Gross Funeral Home, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Father Schmitz officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroeville.
