Johnston Rea

Johnston REA, 91, oldest man in Wakeman, died at his home west of Wakeman, Jan. 3, 1881. He was born in Killybawn, Firmany Co, Ireland, Dec. 24, 1790. He came to America with his mother, sister and brother and landed at St. Johns, N.B., Mar. 11, 1818, Soon after he went to Pennsylvania and from there came to Black River (Lorain) in 1822, and in 1851 to south of Birmingham, and in 1872 came to Wakeman Twp. He leaves a wife, one son and one daughter, all at home. Burial was in Amherst.
