Ralph C. Orr, 67, retired businessman and former city councilman, died this morning at his home, 11 Newton St., following a lengthy illness.
A native of Renovo, Pa., Mr. Orr came to this community in boyhood. For many years he operated a grocery store, both here and at Ruggles Beach. He was a member of the Universalist Church, the local Masonic bodies, and served two terms as city councilman.
A sister, Jane, at home, survives. His wife, Edith, died in 1937.
Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the Laible Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert McAvoy officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
