Mrs. R. C. Orr Dies Suddenly
It is with profound regret that the Reflector-Hebald[sic] is called upon to chronicle the passing of Mrs. R. C. Orr, a highly estimable and widely-beloved Norwalk matron, who died in Memorial Hospital at 10 a. m. Sunday after a brief illness. She had been admitted to the hospital 10 hours before death occurred. Death was caused by heart trouble.
Mrs. Orr was born Edith Mae Suhr, Oct. 24, 1884, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. George Suhr, and had spent her entire life here. The father passed away in January, 1935.
Left to mourn are her husband: R. C. Orr, the mother, Mrs. Clara Suhr, the brother, Bowen Suhr, the aunts Mrs. George Prosser of North Platte, Neb. and Mrs. Mary Sinz of Fresno, Cal., the uncles Judge Charles Suhr and William Suhr, both of Norwalk and the nephews, John and Robert Suhr, both of this city.
Mrs. Orr was a faithful member of the Universalist Church, the Roundabout Reading Club and the Tuesday Dinner Club.  Among her remarkably wide circle of friends, Mrs. Orr occupied a lofty position of esteem and affection because of her splendid character refinement and keen intellect.
Worshiped in her family circle and widely cherished, Mrs. Orr was the recipient of respect and affection well-nigh without precedent. Her death will prove an irreparable loss to the community. The grief-afflicted family is receiving the condolences of the many friends.
The Orr family resides at 11 Newton St.
Funeral services will be held from the Universalist church at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday. The Rev. Stanley Stall, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. P. J. Garcia, will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
