JAMES L. HAVER

ATTICA – James L. Haver, 58, of U.S. 224, died Tuesday in Attica after a sudden illness.

He was born Sep. 25, 1930 in Defiance County and lived most of his life in the Willard-Attica area. He, along with his wife, was owner and operator of Uncle Dudley’s Restaurant in Willard for the past five years.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard.  He was a member of the Clowns of Ohio and had been clowning for the past 12 years.  He was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou (Smith) Haver; mother Faye Haver of Willard; daughter Sheryl Wall of Attica; sons Steven of Willard and Douglas of Rockhill, S.C.; four grandchildren; and step-children Kristine, Tony and Tom Leis, all of Attica.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Malcolm Brook officiating.

Burial will be in Attica Venice Cemetery in Attica.
