Suhr, Gertrude (nee Curtis), age 77, beloved wife of the late Wm. A., mother of Mrs. Maude Wilson of Sandusky, O, Miss Laura McClain of Cleveland, Violet, Mary Surrarrer of Litchfield, O., and Curtis A., sister of Mrs. Maude Kean of Buffalo, N. Y., and Frank E. Curtis. Funeral Monday at 2 p. m. from Liable Funeral Home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Gertrude M. Suhr, widow of the late William A. Suhr, passed away Dec. 21 at her home on the Medina Road after a brief illness. Born in Cleveland, Oct. 26, 1868, she came to Norwalk at the age of five. She was married to William A. Suhr April 24, 1888, and her entire life was spent in the community in which she died.
Mrs. Suhr was very active in community affairs. For many years she was an officer in the Parent-Teacher Association of District No. 6 and secretary of the Worth While Farm Woman's Club for the past 34 consecutive years. She had made many friends and was loved by all who knew her.
Surviving are her five children, Mrs. John T. Wilson of Sandusky, Mrs. Walter McClain of Lakewood, Mrs. George Surrarrer of Litchfield, Miss Violet Suhr and Curtiss Suhr at home. One daughter, Mrs. Paul C. Stumpf, preceded her in death. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One grandchild, Charles F. Stumpf, whom she raised from a baby, now serving at Fort Benning, Ga., through the courtesy of the Red Cross, was able to be at her bedside at the time of death. A sister, Mrs. Maude Kean and a brother Frank E. Curtiss both of Buffalo, N. Y., also survive.
Friends may call at the home on the Medina Rd. after 5:00 p. m. today. Funeral services will be held from the Laible Funeral Home Monday at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Stanley C. Stall, paster of the First Universalist Church, officiating.
