Alfred Crum, 70, Taken by Death At Greenwich

GREENWICH, June 16 – Alfred Crum, 70, prominent local retired farmer, livestock buyer and hardware merchant, died at 4:30 p. m. Monday. Funeral services will be from the home of his son, Charles, here at 2 p. m. Thursday with burial in Greenlawn cemetery.

Retiring from his farm south of here 30 years ago, Mr. Crum founded the Crum Hardware Co. here and remained actively in the business until April of this year, when ill health forced his retirement. He also had been a shipper of livestock for 35 years, and was an active worker in the M. E. church.

He leaves two sons, Charles and Harry, both of Greenwich; one daughter Mrs. Almira Wolf of Ashland, and two grandchildren. His wife died a year ago.
