CLARA HAST SMITH

BERLIN HEIGHTS – Clara Hast Smith, 76, 2429 Grand St., Lorain, a native of Berlin Heights, died Sunday afternoon at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain.

She spent her early life in Berlin Heights and was a member of the Berlin Heights Congregational United Church of Christ and Halcyon Chapter 347, Order of Eastern Star, Collins.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; a son, William Martin, Burlington, Vt.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Hast, Berlin Heights and Adam Hast, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Croll, Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Elizabeth Southworth, Willoughby.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Victor Martin.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hinman Funeral Home, Berlin Heights.
