1855 New London Twp. Deed

To all to whom these presents may come greeting
Know yea that I James Sheperd of New London Township Huron Co. Ohio as executor of the last will and testament of William Sheperd late of Huron Co. Ohio. Deceased by virtue of the power and authority to me given in and by the said last will and testament and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty six dollars to me paid and secured to be paid by Moses R. Day of the Township County and State aforesaid the purchase of the real estate here inafter described the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Moses R Day his heirs and assigns forever by virtue of the power and authority above referred to a certain tract of land situate in the county of Huron in the State of Ohio and in the township of New London more particularly described as follows to wit four and one fourth acres of land to be taken off of the south east corner of lot No ten in the first section of New London Township said land to be twenty rods North & South & to run far enough west to contain the aforesaid four and one fourth acres the lines to run parallel with the lot lines of said lot. To have and to hold the deed tract of land with the privilege and appurtenances thereof, to him the said Moses R. Day his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof I as said executor have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of February AD 1855

Before me David L Pond a juatier (?) of the River in and for the county aforsaid appeared the above named James Sheperd and acknowledge the signing and sealing the above conveyance as executor of Wm Sheperd, late of New London deceased, to be his voluntary act and deed: this 22nd day of Feb A.D. 1855
