Rebecca Jane was the daughter of Asher Porter Kellogg b.Aug. 1, 1809 in Skaneatelis, NY d. Nov. 3, 1869 in N. Fairfield, Huron Co., Ohio. m. 1833 in N. Fairfield Polly Maria Snow b.April 17, 1817 in Vienna, NY. d. April 22, 1894 in N. Fairfield.
Luther taught school in Huron, County Ohio probably N. Fairfield.......the dates would be in 1855 or so
Children of Rebecca Jane Kellogg and Luther Ensign Race were: Clarence Gilbert Race b. 1860 in Chicago, IL. d. 1916 in Chicago, IL., Frank Luther Race, b. 1863 in Chicago, IL d. 1910 Chicago, IL., LuLu Minnie Race b. 1869 d. 1960 in Chicago, IL. They had 3 other children, Maria Jessie, Harry E and Carrie Jane who died under the age of 10yrs. Rebecca Jane and her husband Luther Ensign Race are buried in Graceland Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
