Edward Rowland AUSTIN

Edward Rowland AUSTIN was born 8 Jul 1859 at NY, NY to Agnes ROWLAND & Julius AUSTIN. Shortly thereafter the family relocated to Townsend & then Wakeman, OH, where he spent his boyhood.

He married Cora Electa WHITON, daughter of Electa Ann BINGHAM & James Flavel WHITON, at Norwalk, OH on 26 May 1886. Their children were: Mary Electa (Mrs. Harry Miller RAINEY), Gertrude Agnes (Mrs. James Elwood FLETCHER) Mandley Whiton & fraternal twin brother, Clarence Julius Austin. After the birth of their first child, the family moved to the West Side of Cleveland, OH.

Edward Rowland Austin died 30 Jul 1928 at Cleveland, OH. Burial was at the Wakeman Township Cemetery, where his daughter, Gertrude Agnes Fletcher & his son, LTC Mandley Whiton Austin, USAF Ret. also rest.
