Timothy R. Strong was born in Cayuga county N.Y., a son of William and Laura Strong.  He received his education at a seminary in Onondaga county and at Fredonia academy, Chatauqua county, same state.  After reading law for some time he was admitted to the bar in 1843, and began a general practice at Norwalk
O.  He conducted many extensive cases of a civil nature but was especially eminent in criminal law.  He possessed an inexhaustible fund
of dry humor and keen sarcasm with a wonderful power of moving his audience at will to laughter or to tears.  His death occurred July 11, 1894.
