 St. John's Cemetery

 Earlier known as William's Cemetery


Benton Township, Hocking County, Ohio

From South Bloomingville, Ohio travel North on State Route 664 for three miles and through
the Old Man's Cave State Park, going another half mile to State Route 374. Turn right and travel
one mile. The cemetery is on the hillside to the right just a past the Rose Lake trail.The only
parking spot is a pull over area on the left, across from the cemetery.


St. John's Church

St. John's Chapel Church is located at where the old town of Cedar Grove was
located , at the junction of  Route 374 and 664 south .

The cemetery is located  from here south on Route 374 about  3/4
of a mile. The cemetery is on a bank up and off to the right.

Obituary

Lester Roth
   Archibold,Ohio---
        Rev. Lester L. Roth, age 84 years, of Archibold passed away Tuesday morning, November 6, 2007, at the Archibold Hospital where he was admitted early Tuesday morning.
        He was born January 12, 1923 at Bellefontaine, a son of Joesph and Barbara Roth. He married Dorothy Blough on May 27,1947, and she preceded him in death June 20, 2003.
        He lived in Logan for forty years before moving to Archibold in 1995. He was ordained to the ministry in 1956, and served St. John's Chapel at Cedar Grove for 38 years. He was a chaplain st the Hocking Honor Camp and Division of the Ohio State Penitentiary.
