LEWELLYN, LLEWELLYN, MCCRILL, MCRILL posted by Janet Carper on Friday, November 19, 2004

LLEWELLYN/MCRILL - My G-G-G-Grandparents, Warren LLEWELLYN and Louisa MCRILL LEWELLYN lived in Hancock County, Washington Twp. in 1850 and Cass Twp. in 1860 (I found them on census records). They had 13 children, the first six children were born in Hancock County, their names are: Alice M (born 1857), Arretta Jane (My G-G-Grandmother), (born 10-26-1858), Martha (born 1861), Thomas J (born 1862), Joseph R (born 1-1864) and Ora (born 1868) LLEWELLYN. Their last name had various spellings. Does any one have information on this family? I would like to find the childrens birth or christening dates. After a lot of persistence I did find their marriage record in Hancock Co., OH. . Warren Llewellyn (Sewalen in marriage record book) married Louisa M. McRill on 10-16-1856 at Joshua McRills in Hancock Co., OH. The next line below their marriage is a sister to Louisa. George Snyder married Rebecca McRill on 10-16-1856 at Joshua McRills in Hancock Co., OH. Probate Court, marriage book volume 3, page 374. I do have a picture of Warren and Louisa, if anybody would like to share information.
