My ggg-grandparents Samuel & Linda (LUBACH) MAURER raised their family in the Findlay area. Sam and Linda's parents (and several of Linda's siblings) are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.

Researching family of Giles WESTCOTT (1805-1891) and Almira Elvira SAWYER who came to Hancock County from Cuyahoga County after 1839. Am especially interested in any information on the SAWYER line. Giles and Almira had several children, mostly daughters. Their son Nelson Spicer WESTCOTT (1840-1922) and his second wife Mary Susan PATTERSON (1852-1938) were my gr-grandparents. Mary was the daughter of Robert PATTERSON and Mary ROBERTS also of Hancock County. Mary ROBERTS was a daughter of Andrew ROBERTS and Sally (surname unknown).

I am seeking information on the family of William and Jacob HILKERT, who were living in the area of McComb, Hancock Co., OH, during the 1860's. William was married to Elizabeth MINOR; he died 29 May 1869 in Hancock Co. and is buried in McComb Union Cemetery. Jacob probably went to Noble Co., Indiana during 1860's. William's son, William S. lived many years in Hancock Co.; he died in 1935(?).

RAIMER, George lived in Hancock County from about 1856 to 1868. He was a blacksmith by trade. Married Jane Adeline STRATTON. They had 5 children born in Ohio - William, Catherine, Adeline Jane, Amanda, and George B. They moved to Iowa sometime between 1865 and 1868, and had 4 more children born there - Edward, John Frank and Mary Amy. The parents of George Raimer were William RAIMER and Catherine COOK. Catherine ECKERT, daughter of John Hancock ECKERT wife Sarah, married an Alexander BAKER. Catherine was born 22 September 1824, died 11 April, 1909. Alexander was born 9 January 1815 and died 22 November 1849. Both are buried in the Baker-Hamlin Cemetery located in Cass Twp, just NE of Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio. Also looking for a connection between the John Hancock ECKERT family and a lady whose married name was Catharine WOODDEN. She was born 20 September 1816 in Frederick County, Maryland and died 31 March 1894. She is buried near Mentone, Indiana where her obituary was found in an Eckert family bible. Was she perhaps a sister of John Hancock ECKERT, born 1798, we think in Pennsylvania? The obituary mentions a daughter, Mrs. J. C. BLICKENSTAFF.

I would like especially like info on Malinda's mother Nellie who died shortly after coming to Hancock Co. Rev. Robt H. HOLLYDAY D.D., early Presby minister 1815 -1905; mar Lydia PATTERSON 1822 - 1906; dhtr of Robt PATTERSON 1789-1867, one of the originators of the Mad River/Lake Erie Railroad; mar Eliza S.
