DEAL, DEIHL, DIEHL, PFISTER, SIMON, TYNER, TYNERS posted by Step Tyner on Wednesday, April 28, 1999

DIEHL/DEIHL/DEAL My great-grandfather was one David A. DIEHL (also spelled DEIHL and DEAL in various references), who married Belenia SIMON (daughter of Levi SIMON and Mary Ann PFISTER, b. 6MAR1852, d. 11NOV1884, both Bloom Twp, Wood Cty, OH), place and date unknown to me, and had at least five children: sons James, Harve, Gideon, and Howard (all still living abt. 1930), and Myrtle Liliom DIEHL (b. 17APR1877, perhaps in PA - d. about 1930, Findlay, Hancock Cty, OH). Myrtle married Homer TYNER on 19DEC1900, and lived in Hancock Cty from about 1910 until her death. Inasmuch as the TYNERS seem to have straddled the Wood-Hancock Cty borders rather frequently, it is at least as likely that David A. DIEHL/DEIHL/DEAL was from Hancock Cty as that he was from Wood Cty. Eagerly seeking any insights into the life, death, and/or ancestry of David, as I know nothing at present except his name.
