BUCKLAND, VIBBERT posted by Charles Rutter on Sunday, December 13, 1998

I am searching for Elijah BUCKLAND. As I understand,, there were a lot of BUCKLANDS in and around Hancock and Putman Counties. I Don't really have much on him, he had at least one child named Warren Buell BUCKLAND, born Sept. 7, 1785 in East Hartford, Conn. Warren married Olive Ann VIBBERT. She was born on Oct. 27, 1787 in E. Windson, Conn. Ann died in Jackson, Michigan on Aug. 13, 1864. Warren died on Aug. 17, 1858 in Onodaga, Michigan. Therefore, I believe it quite logical that he, as well as many who came into Michigan in the early years, stopped off for awhile in Ohio, before migrating north. They had at least 5 children as follows: Unknown ** Warren Buell Buckland Jr. b/Dec. 16, 1810 ** Unknown b/Sept. 9, 1814 ** George Nelson Buckland b/Sept. 19, 1824 ** Lewis V. Buckland b/Nov. 4, 1827. Would be willing to share what little I have on the Bucklands.
