"This picture is from the PNR Society, though we're not sure what PNR stands for. There is a sketched picture of a wooden sailboat in semi-rough water in the center of the page [in the 1906 yearbook] with a flag on it that has the PNR initials. Here is what the yearbook says:

'Colors--Red and Gold
'Emblem--Peanut
'Yell.
Rah! Rah!  Rah! Rah!
PNR! PNR! Rah! Rah!

'The PNR society, an organization composed of 14 members of the Senior Class, was formed in the early part of October, 1905, by the skipper and mate. The purpose of the club being to acquaint its members with the magnitude and beauty of our earth.

'On our first (imaginary) voyage we cruised along the shores of
Cumminsville, but owing to the breaking of rudder we had to discontinue
our trip after sailing for thirty minutes.  We took several trips to
Westwood via West Fork creek, on trip to Cleves via Ohio river. On this
trip the skipper and mate decided that owing to great waves that
constantly disturbed the tranquil Ohio the raft would never again sail
on that body of water.

'On the 17th day of March the raft, while sailing in the great lake at
Coney Island, hit a great floating ball and there followed a terrific
report resulting in the destruction of our beloved craft.

'The third day of May found the crew wandering through the wilds of
Lockland dodging rain drops, trying to find a suitable port of safety.
We succeeded at last in finding it, thanks to our first mate.

'This was our last trip of the school year, but we hope to make several
trips in our new craft this summer.

'Who said Lockland?' "
