Located
on its rich green
hilltop in Mt. Washington, a suburb of Cincinnati, the beautiful new
addition
to the high school unit of St. Gregory's Seminary is an inspiring sight
to travelers on the highway nearby. Being built in the
Lombard-Romanesque
style under the direction of Archbishop Karl J. Alter, the new chapel
and
refectory unit of the 61-year old seminary will help to provide the
priests
for the 320,000 Catholics of the 19 county Archdiocese of Cincinnati. |

Founded
by a wealthy tanner, whose statue stands before its portals,
this substantial old institution has afforded educational advantages to
Cincinnati young folks for a hundred years. The donor and his
wife are buried under the monument.
