Painful Intelligence. - Mrs. Elizabeth MONTGOMERY, wife of Lieut. MONTGOMERY and daughter of Griffin TAYLOR of Cincinnati, was killed by the Indians, on the 28th of ult. near Fort Mincanopy, Florida.  Mrs. M. was passing from one post to anohter, under an escort of eleven mounted men, and attended by Lieutenants HOPSON and SHERWOOD, when they were attacked by a large body of Indians, who, besides the unfortunate lady, killed Lieut. S. and four others of the party.  Mrs. M. was young, had been married but a few months, and was much beloved in the circle of her friends at Cincinnati.
