This indenture made this twenty fifth of March in the year of our Lord 1796 Between John Cleves SYMMES of the County of Hamilton and Territory of the United States north west of the River Ohio of the first part and Culbertson PARKS of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Cleves SYMMES for and in consideration of the sum of two dollars to him in hand well and truly paid at or before the ensealing and delivery hereof by the said Culbertson PARKS the receipt whereof the said John Cleves SYMMES doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom doth clearly acquit exonerate and discharge the said Culbertson PARK his Executors and administrators have given granted bargained sold aliened released conveyed & confirmed and by these presents do fully give grant bargain and sell unto the said Culbertson PARK heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot number one hundred and twenty-eight containing 72 perches of land situate and being in the town of Cincinnati in the County aforesaid in the Miami Purchase being a part of the seventh Section in the fourth Township and first fractional Range which lot contains seventy two square perches as aforesaid together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances to the said lot belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the before granted premises with the appertenances and privileges thereunto belonging to the said Culbt PARK and his heirs and assigns for their own own proper use benefit and behoof forever. and the said John Cleves SYMMES for himself and his heirs Executors and administrators doth covenant promise and agree unto and with the said Culbertson PARK his heirs and assigns that at the time of the ensealing and delivery hereof he is the true sole and lawful owner and is lawfully seized of the same by purchase from the United States and hath in himself full power and lawful authority to sell and convey the same in manner aforesaid and the said John Cleves SYMMES doth further covenant with the said Culbertson PARK his heirs and assigns that all and singular the premises & lot aforesaid unto the said Culbertson PARK and his heirs and assigns against all lawful claims and demands whatsoever he the said John Cleves SYMMES and his heirs will well and truly warrant and forever by these presents defend.

In Witness Whereof the said John Cleves SYMMES together with Susan his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in the premises have hereunto personally set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year aforesaid

Hamilton SS{Before me Aaron Cadwell one of the Justices of
the Court of Common Please in the said County came personally John C. Symmes and Susan his wife and (the said Susan being examined secretly separately and apart from her said husband & declaring herself to be under no coercion or compulsion and of lawful age did acknowledge the within Instrument to be their voluntary act and deed for the use and purposes therein mentioned.
