PIONEER WOMEN OF THE WESTERN RESERVE
The following family data has been extracted from a two-volume publication by the Women's Department of the Cleveland Centennial, 1896. The books also contain writings about pioneer women of Portage, Ashtabula, Lorain, Trumbull, Lake, Cuyahoga, Summit, Erie, Huron, Mahoning, and Medina counties.
The information contained in these volumes are by no means complete. It was compiled from memories of those living in these areas at the time the books were written. Often times there are mentions of a number of children, but names are not included. We are also finding that there are a lot of errors, as happens in any history book. If you can add to or correct this information from your own knowledge or research, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org . I will add the additional information or corrections to a web page for this purpose, the URL is listed at the bottom of this page. Corrections cannot be made on this page, otherwise it invalidates the content of the book.
Names with asterisks by them indicate that there is more information available on the other page.
The format of this page groups husbands & wives together, and any children that have been listed.
