I am trying to find more information regarding my gggrandfather John SCHROEDER or SCHRADER who was born 3/15/1861 in Gallia Furnace. He died 9/15/1937 but I know not where. I have no idea who his parents were or where they were from. Does this name sound familiar to anyone? He married Emma WOLF from Scioto Furnace and had 4 children: Katherine, Maude, Emil and Florence. They lived most of their lives in Oak Hill, Jackson Co. Ohio I think. I can't find anything anywhere about any of them. Thank you for any information you may have.

Williams parents were Eli HIX and Elizabeth SHAVER (SHAFER). I need information on Margaret WINEGARs parents and Elizabeth SHAVER (SHAFER) parents. Rosetta's parents were George SHOEMAKER Jr. and Malinda WITT. I need information on Malinda's parents. George Jr's parents were George SHOEMAKER Sr. and Rachel HALFHILL I need information on her parents. My grandparents on my fathers side were Frank WEST and Clara E. DAVIS born 1882 and died 1956. I believe my great grandfather, Edward or Edwin VanBuren WOODS may have been born in Gallia County, OH. I do not know his father's name. He was a Confederate soldier who did not come home from the war. Evidently killed, died in prison, or chose not to return home. Van, as he was called was born Feb. 14, 1859 either in VA or OH. He married Virinda Ann HAMON. He died August 7, 1937 in Nicholas County, WV. He had one brother, William Ferguson WOODS. I also need information on Van's mother, Martha Margaret DONALSON WOODS. I believe she was called Margaret by her family. She was born 1 December 1832 in Webster County, WV. She died 29 December 29 1892, I do not know her parents' names. When the Civil War started she left Ohio with the two children and returned to her people in Nicholas County, now WV.

Virginia and John had three children; Washington S. b. 1868 Gallia Co. (spelling of last name???) John Willis GERREN b. 4 May 1869, Gallia Co. Ohio; Henrietta GEAREN b. 22 Nov 1870, Gallia Co. OH. (LDS). They are listed on the 1870 Gallia Co. census. John GERREN shows up in the 1880 census in Barry Co, MO. now married to his stepdaughter Alma CALL. They had two sons, Walter b. 1879 in MO and another son with no name, born 1880, Barry CO, MO. Census says John age 39, Alma age 23, Washington age 12, JOhn W age 11, Henrietta age 10, Walter age 1, new baby age 0. I am interested in finding out what happened to Virginia CALL GEEREN/GEAREN/GERREN (died after childbirth perhaps). This family also disappears after the 1880 census in MO. They are not on the 1900 census anywhere in the US under the spelling GERREN. SOMEONE must have some idea what happened to this family. What was Virginia's maiden name and who were her parents. Is John listed on the 1860 census in Gallia Co.??? If so, who were his parents??? John Willis GERREN is my husband's ggf. He shows up in 1895 in Grundy Co, MO. From 1870 to 1879 and from 1881 to present, the rest of his his family is nowhere to be found. Any suggestions?
