Alfred M. Lee 
Alfred M. Lee, son of Benjamin and Mary Lee, was born February 18, 1848, in Henry County, Ohio. He departed from this life May 4, 1934 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lewis Rupp. His earthly pilgrimage continued for 86 years, 2 months, and 16 days.  He was one of a family of ten children: four brothers and six sisters, all of whom are deceased excepting one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Smith, of Waldron, Michigan. He was a diligent and prosperous farmer living within the distance of one mile from his birth place, during his entire life. On February 11, 1875 he was united in marriage with Jane Adeline Boyer of Williams County, Ohio. This union was blessed with three children: Truman H.; Myrtle, now Mrs. Lewis Rupp, and Stanley A., all residing on adjoining farms.  During the year of 1895, Rev. S. H. Yager conducted a meeting at the United Brethren Church on the Ridge. At this time Mr. Lee confessed Christ as his personal Savior and with his companion united with the church and continued faithful to the Lord until death. After the United Brethren Church was discontinued he attended the Pettisville Missionary Church as regularly as his health permitted. 
On September the 28th, 1925 he was bereft of his beloved companion. A few days later his elder son also preceded him to his eternal reward. After this he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Lewis Rupp. He failed gradually during the past years which led to his final illness of four weeks. 
He bore it all with great patience and frequently expressed his desire and hope of being with the Lord. 

Among many relatives and friends, he is survived by his daughter Myrtle and son Stanley, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. 

To cherish her memory are: Alfred W., of Ridgeville Corners; Elgar I., of Liberty Center; Melvin J., 
of Tedrow; Oliver B., of Delta; George R., of Wauseon; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, and one sister, Cathrine Myers of Bucyrus, Ohio.

Christena Jane (Bucher) Lauber
Christena Jane Lauber, nee Bucher, was born near Whitehouse, Lucas county, Ohio, September 11, 1863, and departed this life Friday, March 22nd, 1929, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 
11 days, following an illness that lasted nearly seven months.  She was the eighth child of Frederic and Maria Bucher and grew to maturity at the parental home.  January 27, 1881, she was united in marriage with Joseph Lauber and located on the Lauber Hill farm. Six years later they moved to Archbold where Mr. Lauber engaged in the clothing business. To this union seven children were born. This happy marriage was saddened by the sudden demise of the husband and father, 0ct. 27, 1903. Upon this now departed mother, fell the double duties of rearing a large family. She faced the task with a saddened heart but willing hands and successfully brought her seven 
children to maturity. One niece Mary Lauber was taken into her home and loved and cared for as her own.  Mother Lauber was a kind, loving mother, honored and respected by all and her life was 
a wonderful moral example to all with whom she came in contact.

Chistena Lauber is survived by five sons: Ora E.; Harry C.; Edward C., and Olley C. of Archbold; Elmer F. of Toledo; and two daughters: Mrs. J. C. Saunders of Wauseon and Mrs. 0. R. Taylor of Archbold; twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild one sister: Mrs. Mary Lauber and one brother: Christian Bucher of Archbold, as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home and St. James' Lutheran Church in Burlington, with interment in the Leininger Cemetery. The Rev. R. Trautman officiated.

Raymond Junior Schantz
(Mar 1934) 
Raymond Junior Schantz, oldest and only son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Schantz, was born in Onsted, Michigan, June 7th, 1922, and departed this life on March 4, 1934, at the age of 11 years, 8 months, 28 days, as a result of being struck by an automobile while playing with other children near Birdsell, Mich., about 2 ½ miles from his home where he has spent the last seven years of 
his life. He spent all his school days at the Adrian Center School.  He will be sadly missed by his parents; two sisters, Bernetta and Wanda June; one great-grandmother; his grandparents, Mr. 
and Mrs. S. C. Schantz of Toledo, OH., and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schnur of Evansport, 0.; and many uncles and aunts and a host of relatives and friends who will miss his loving smile.

Mrs. Sara (Burkholder) Pollinger
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Mennonite church with the Rev. J. W. Miller officiating for Mrs. Sarah Pollinger, 70, who passed away last Thursday at the Miller home after being bedfast for one week from complications arising from kidney trouble; She had been in 
failing health for some time and was brought to the Miller home where she was being cared for 
by Miss Josie Miller.  Mrs. Pollinger was born in Fulton co., and had lived in Norwich-tp 43 years.
Surviving her are one step grandson, David Deveney; .three great grandchildren; three brothers, John, Samuel and Andrew Burkholder of Wauseon; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Zimmerman Wauseon, Mrs. Catherine *Keckesser of Pettisville and a niece Mrs. Harry Pittenger of Boughtonville. Her 
only daughter, Susan, preceded her in death in 1914. Burial was in the Mennonite cemetery in charge of the Fink funeral directors.

Norwich-tp. Woman Is Sticken In Wlllard.
WILLARD, Sept. 14 – Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Pollinger, 70, of Norwich-tp, who died here today in the home of an uncle, the Rev. J. W. Miller, will be conducted Saturday afternoon. One service will be in the Miller residence at two o'clock, and a second service in the Mennonite Church west of Willard will follow. The Rev. Miller will officiate at both. Interment In the Mennonite Cemetery.
Mrs. Pollinger had been in falling health for some time, arid was being cared for in the Miller home. 
Surviving are one grandson, David Deveny; three brothers, John, Samuel, and Andrew *Burkhart, all of Wauseon; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Zimmerman of Wauseon and Mrs. Catherine Weckesser, of Pettlsville. Her husband, David Pollinger, preceded her in death.

Albert Henry Weckesser 
(May 1920) TELLS HOW HE, DIED AND LOCATES GRAVE 
Albert Henry Weckesser Struck By Machine Gun Bullet Died Instantly 
Mayor Rulhley's persistent efforts to gain some information regarding the manner of the death and the place of burial of Corp. Albert Henry Weckesser, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Weckesser of Archbold, have at last brought results. A letter from *Sargeant G. P. Brannan of 1206 Park avenue, Racine, Wis., gives the information that Sergt. Brannan with Corp. Weckesser and eight men were taking up their position when Weckesser was struck just above the left eye by a German machine gun bullet and was killed instantly. The death happened at about 3:00 p. m. on Nov. 10, 1918. The body was buried in grave 65, section 116, plat 2, ;Argonne American cemetery, Romague- Sous- Montfaucon, Meuse.

REST HONORED DEAD IN NATIVE SOIL
Remains of One Who Paid Supreme Sacrifice Now Sleeping Eternally
(Oct 1921) Thursday afternoon a large number of people gather at the N.Y.C. depot when train 
No. 23 brought the remains of the Albert Henry Weckesser, Members of the American Legion received the body and escorted it to the undertaking rooms.  Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. the body was received by the Legion members and escorted to the Lauber Hill church where services were held Rev. Bucher gave the funeral address in the church and the body was taken to the grave where the ritual was read by Vice-commander Hoffmire and taps sounded.  Albert Henry Weckesser, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Weckesser was born in Franklin Township, April 24th, 1896, and spent all of his life in this vicinity. On Sept. 19, 1917 he enter the military service being among the first few contingent of men to leave Fulton county. On .April 1st 1918 he arrived over-seas. He was a member of the 128th Inf. 32nd division, which was one of the divisions, that saw some of the hardest battles and much of the fighting throughout the war. From June 1st 1918 until the time of his death he was at the front. Albert was a sharpshooter in this division. On Nov. 10th he with eight other men were assigned a position and *a they went over the top Albert was instantly killed by a machine gun bullet, which struck him above the left eye. He reached an age of 22 years, 6 months and 16 days.

Mrs. Carrie Stevens
Wringer Catches Scarf; Widow, 73, Is Strangled
Omaha, Neb.-Eighteen hundred dollars in money was found tied in a sack among the clothing of -Mrs. Carrie Stevens, seventy-three, widow. She was choked to death here when her scarf caught in the wringer of a washing machine while doing the weekly wash of a neighbor's family.

He leaves seven daughters, two sons, 33 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, sister Mrs. John Harmon of Ft. Wayne and 4 brothers, Mr. Henry Leininger, Mr. Simon Leininger, Mr. Sol. Leininger of Wauseon, and Mr. Geo. Leininger of Chicago.

Mary Louisa Harsch Moine
Mary Louisa Moine nee Harsch, daughter of Sebastian and Justine Harsch, was born July 8 1861, in German township, Fulton county, Ohio. She was baptized in August, 1861 and until her death on Oct. 18, 1933 at the age of 72, remained a faithful member of St. Peter's Catholic church in Archbold.  She spent her entire life in this community. She became the wife of Louis G. Moine, April 3, 1883. To this union one daughter Anastasia was born, she having died in infancy. 

Besides her many friends, neighbors and relatives she leaves to mourn her loss two daughters, one brother two sisters, and one grandson.

Mrs. Chris. Myers (Kate Liechty)
(1933) 
Mrs. Chris. Myers, age 45 years, passed away in her home near Butler, Ind., Thursday, of heart trouble. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon in the Lauber Hill church, north-east of Archbold. Interment in church cemetery. She leaves husband, three daughters, son, 12 grandchildren, four sisters and three brothers. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Leichty, of Tedrow. 

There are left to mourn his departure: his beloved wife and three children: Adam, Mrs. Edward Nofziger, Mrs. Samuel Zimmerman, 10 grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters, as well as other relatives, also a host of friends.  The deceased was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Pettisville while residing there and upon coming to Archbold he became a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church. During his whole life he took a keen interest in the welfare of the Church and the building of the Kingdom of God. 

Burial services were held at the home and in St. Martin's Church, Saturday afternoon. Interment was made at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Pettisville.

Vina Waidelich Dies 
Miss Vina Viola Waidelich, 29 years old last November, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Waidelich, of Pettisville, passed away Friday noon, at the Toledo state hospital where she was taken two weeks ago Monday. She had been ill in *heatlh the past summer. The body was taken 
to the parents' home, Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Defenseless Mennonite church in Archbold, conducted by Rev. E. M. Slagle and M. N. Amstutz. Interment in Pettisville cemetery. Leaves parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Edna Georgia (Leininger) Schultz
(1929) 
Edna Georgia Schultz was born in Fulton County, Ohio, on Feb. 26, 1903, the daughter and only child of Geo. J. Leininger and his wife Carrie. On I April 19, 1903, her parents brought her to Christ through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism, which, as a washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, made her a child of God and an heiress of His eternal heaven. On May 16, 1920, after having been duly instructed in God's Word and the doctrines of the Lutheran Church, she was received into membership of the Lutheran Church through the rite of confirmation. She was united in holy matrimony with *Russell Schultz, on Mach 27, 1927.

The departed was ever a dutiful child, loving and highly esteeming her parents, honoring them, serving them wherever possible, and obeying them with true Christian humility and simplicity. 
She was a faithful and devoted wife, a worthy help-meet of her husband. She was a consecrated worker in the church, taking a lively interest in all congregational affairs, using her talent especially as organist of the Leininger Church during the last 4 or 5 years. She was a congenial friend, well thought of and highly esteemed by all with whom she came into contact.  It was therefore a great shock to all when her seeming untimely death came last Wednesday evening, Jan. 9, 1929, she having attained the age of 25 years, 8 months and 20 days. Those who mourn her departure are her devoted husband, Russell Schultz, and her beloved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. J. Leininger, 
as well as a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral was held on Sunday afternoon from the house of the parents and from the Leininger church, the Rev. R. Trautmann officiating.

Mrs. Lloyd Schantz (Inez Kleck)
Mrs. Lloyd Schantz was born June 5, 1899 and departed from this world Friday noon; Jan. 18, 1929; reaching the age of 29 years, 7 months and 13 days.  On Dec. 16, 1920, the deceased was married to Lloyd Schantz. To this union 3 children were born: Arthur H., Doris Mae and the infant son Donald K. Arthur H. died in his infancy, remaining here below only four days. Our departed sister had been well until a few weeks ago, when the 'flu'  made its in road into their home. For a number of days her life was hanging in the balance. 'Flu' with other complications setting in, 
caused her death. The last week the departed suffered intensely. Our sympathy goes out to the bereft husband, the motherless children, parents, sisters, brothers and other relatives. But we greatly rejoice that on Wednesday between four and five o'clock in the morning she made her peace with God and that Jesus Christ saved her soul. Praise God for such a merciful Savior! 

Those who remain behind to mourn her loss are: husband, two children, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Kleck; one sister, Mrs. Marion Roth; two brothers, Harold and Wilbur; and relatives, neighbors and friends.

Susan (Roth) Myers
Susan Myers, daughter of Chris. and Magdalena Burkholder Roth, was born in Fulton county Ohio, July 21st, 1847 and departed this life May 21st, 1930, at the age of 82 years and 10 months. She was the fourth daughter of a family of eight children.  On January 27, 1872, she was united in marriage to Andrew Myers. To this union seven children were born. Permilla Ann and Laura *preceeded her in death. She united with the Reformed Mennonite Church in 1878 of which she was a faithful member to the end. And all through the many years that have *snce past she *continulaly gave testimony that her treasure was not in earthly things but that her life and treasure was hidden with Christ in God. She was a loving dutiful wife and mother ever willing to sacrifice 
self for her loved ones; ever seeking divine guidance in instructing her children and in conducting her life and conversation. 

She leaves to mourn her passing: her devoted husband, one sister Mrs. Magdalena Beaverson of Pettisville, and one brother Chris. Roth of Ridgeville Corners; three sons, Chris., George and Floyd and two daughters Ellen and Mary; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Andrew Myers, age 82 years and 10 months, passed away in her home in Pettisville, Wednesday morning May 21st, after an illness of two weeks in bed. The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, in the Lauber Hill church, conducted by Rev. Frey of Wayne county Ohio. Interment in church cemetery. Leaves husband, two daughters, three sons, twenty-five *grandchildrren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, sister, brother.

Sister Delilah accepted Jesus as her personal Savior. She was baptized and received into the Amish Mennonite church on the 16th day of last January, and in a number of ways showed herself especially faithful in her short Christian life. The cause of Delilah's death was Sceptic infection of unknown origin,-of which she suffered about 5 days, being unconscious from the second day until the end. In  loving memory of our dear daughter who passed away 6 years ago, on July 81,1924.

She leaves to mourn her loss. Her husband, her son H. L. Roth of Ridgeville Corners, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her aged mother 4 sisters, 3 brothers and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held last Thursday, 2 p. m., from the. Reformed Mennonite Church. Burial In Lauber Hill Cemetery, Rev. Wm. Rupp officiating.

Addie Buehrer Beaverson
Addie Buehrer Beaverson, daughter of Jacob and Agnes Buehrer, was born in Henry county, Ohio, July 27, 1876.  She was united in marriage to Harvey N. Beaverson on October 26, 1898. To this union, eleven children were born of which Ole N. preceded his mother in death. In the year of 1908 she united with the Reformed Mennonite Church to which she remained a faithful member unto the time of her departure.  She departed this life at the Napoleon Hospital, July 12, 1931, at the age of 54 years, 11 months and 15 days. She is survived by her husband, 10 children, 12 grandchildren, four brothers, four sisters, and many other relatives and friends.  The children are Earl C., Lowell T., Estel H., Walter B., Carl, Samuel G., Willard, Kenneth, Evelyn, and Rollin.

kind mother, and was loved and respected by all who knew her. During her sickness she never complained, but bore her suffering patiently and expressed her readiness to go and be with the Lord.

EVELYN RUPP 
Evelyn Rupp, daughter and Mrs. Jacob W. Rupp born Oct. 5th, 1916 and departed this life on Sept. 20th at the age of 2 yrs, 11 months and 15 days. She leaves to mourn her early departure mother and father, 1 sister, 1 brother and many relatives and friends.

Drove for Ditch. 
Rienhart Lieska was at the wheel of the car. The truck, laden with 100 hogs and other livestock, was parked with a flat tire on the road near the gas station of Justin Bartlett about two miles west of Caragher, OH.  Lieska apparently had attempted to pass the truck, but seeing his way blocked by an approaching car, had headed for the ditch. Instead he jammed the rear of the truck, virtually demolishing his own car and enveloping it and the rear of the truck in flames. Mr. Bartlett and the drivers of the truck, John Drabeck, 23; of Holland, 0., and Ray Niggemyer, Sylvania, leaped to extinguish the flames. Failing that, they managed to throw a rope around the body of one of the boys and drag him from the flames. Two other bodies were similarly recovered before the flames abated, The driver of the car, to avoid which Lieska had crashed into the truck, was Maynard Hartel, who lives a mile from the scene of the accident. He stopped at once and aided rescuers. Tho he had been a friend and neighbor of all the victims, he failed to recognize the bodies. Identification was finally established by George Lleska, Lyons, a brother of Reinhart. 

Severely Burned.
The accident occurred about 8 p. m. Saturday as the six were enroute to a birthday party at the home of Llewlyn McCurdy, 820 Turner avenue. They were to have gone first to the home of a sister of the Tompkins boys and Mrs. Lleska, Mrs. George Chamberlain, 834 Turner avenue, and thence 
to the party.  Donald had intended to entertain at the party with his harmonica and Howard with his guitar. The bodies were taken to the Newill-Planson mortuary at Delta. All except that of Donald were burned beyond recognition. Coroner Charles Bennett of Wood county returned a verdict of accidental death.

Truck Catches Fire. 
The truck, which caught fire but which was saved from serious damage, belongs to John Domico, Silica stock man, known thruout the countryside as "Chicken John." Surviving the victims are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tompkins, Delta, parents of the three youths and Mrs. Lieska; Mrs. Floyd Murry, 1525 Roosevelt avenue, Toledo; Mrs. Chamberlain and Treva Tompkins, 10, sisters. Mr. Lieska is survived by two brothers, George, 21, who lived with him, and Ernest, 25, of 3516 Detroit avenue, Toledo, and his father, William, Toledo. Services for the six were to be at 2 p. m, today in Delta Church of Christ.

JOHN N BUEHRER
John N. Buehrer, son of Michael and Anna Buehrer, was born June 4, 1858, in the Opfertshofen, Canton.Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and passed away at his home in Archbold, Ohio, June 25, 1951, at the age of 93 years and 21 days.   He was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Reformed Church near Archbold in his youth, .of which he was an active member till his death. 
He immigrated to this country, with his parents at the age of 13 years and with them soon resided on a farm in Ridgeville Township where he spent his active life until he retired in 1925 when he moved to Archbold. He married Anna Buehrer, Jan. 15, 1885. To their union was born, six children: Walter Buehrer, Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Adam Schlatter; Rev. Emil Buehrer, Green Bay, Wis.; Mr. Samuel Buehrer, Mrs. Lydia Bock and Mrs. Henry Ziegler of Archbold. His wife preceded him in death in 1937. He is survived by his six children, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 
The funeral services were held in the Ev. and Reformed Church, Thursday at 2 p.m., June 28, 1951, Rev. N. B. Wierwill, pastor, officiating. He .was laid to rest in the Archbold cemetery.

The body is in the Hollingshead Mortuary, West Unity.

Remaining to mourn their tragic loss are his parents, three brothers, Delmar, Marlin and Roger, 
all at home; two sisters, Donna (Mrs. Omar Sutter), Sarasota, Florida, at present residing in Michigan, and Evelyn, also at home, with her patents. Also left are his paternal grandfather, 
Henry Beck, of Archbold, and a very close lady friend whose love and affection he had won, together with a large number of other friends and relatives

Although so sadly missed by loved ones, -yet his passing has served to remind all who knew him that our future rests with God and how essential it is that we make our peace with Him before He calls. 

Howard Grieser 
Howard Grieser, 67, of R.R. No.4, Wauseon, died Thursday afternoon at the Fulton County Health Center following a long illness A life long resident of Fulton County, he was the owner and operator of the Grieser Airport near Wauseon. 

Survived by his wife, Lavina; sons, James and Richard both of Wauseon; daughters, Mrs. Letty Mason of Sylvania and Miss Jane Grieser of' Wauseon; brothers, William and Walter, both of Wauseon; sister, Mrs. Delia Roth of Archbold; and seven grandchildren. 

Funeral services were conducted from the Edgar Funeral Home, Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Gordon Zimmerman officiated. Interment was in the Zion Cemetery. 

Ada L Grieser 
Ada L. Grieser, 49, 307 Buckeye St., Archbold, died Saturday at Fairlawn Haven nursing home 
in Archbold where she had resided the past five weeks. She had been in failing health one and one-half years.   Born near Archbold, she lived her entire lifetime in this community. 

Survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Grieser, 307 Buckeye St., Archbold; four sisters, Mrs. Leora Nafziger and Mrs. Alton (Elsie) Klopfenstein, both of' Archbold, Mrs. Isaac (Clela) Stoll of Jerome, Mich., and Mrs. Lois Thierry of Fayette and one brother, Ernest Grieser of Harrisonburg, Va. 

Services were held Monday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., in Zion Mennonite Church conducted by Rev. Ellis Croyle and Rev. P. J. Frey. Burial in the Pettisville Cemetery. Short Funeral Home was in charge 
of arrangements. 

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; two sons, Ervin I. Miller of Archbold and Marvin J. Miller of Defiance; six grandchildren; one brother, Elvan Miller of Wauseon and one sister , Mrs. Levi (Laura) Rupp of Wauseon. 

Services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Central Mennonite Church with Rev .Dale Wyse and Rev. Charles Gautsche officiating. Interment will be in the Lockport Cemetery.   Short Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

ERVIN N. MILLER
Ervin N. Miller was born near Arthur, Illinois on August 9, 1911, to Isaac and Emma (Helmuth) Miller. He passed away very suddenly at his home near Archbold, Ohio over 65 years later on January 17, 1977.
When he was a young child he came with his parents to the Archbold Community and had lived here ever since. When Ervin was about 3 years old his father was killed when he was struck by a train, and Ervin learned to assume responsibilities that would have normally been beyond his years. Dependability became a characteristic of his life that was much appreciated by his family and friends. He worked for Rich Tractor Sales as a mechanic for over 30 years.  On February 27, 1934, Ervin was married to Vivian Eash. Their home was blessed with two sons, Ervin I. of Archbold, Ohio and Marvin J. of Defiance, Ohio and six grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Laura, (Mrs. Levi W. Rupp), and one brother, Elvan, both of Wauseon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.

He is survived by six sons, James and Merle, both of Wauseon, Vincent of New Carlisle, Carl of 
Pettisville, Ronald of Phoenix, Arizona, and Edward Waidelich of Archbold; 20 grandchildren; 
three great grandchildren; two brothers, Ed B. Frey and Ora Frey, both of Pettisville; and two sisters, Mrs. Sylvan (Pearl) Rupp of Archbold and Mrs. Charles (Bessie) Miller of Wauseon. 

Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 at West Clinton Mennonite Church with Rev. Edward Diener and Rev. Walter Stuckey officiating. Interment will be in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at Short Funeral Home in Archbold.  The family requests that memorials be given to the Mennonite Board of Missions.

ELLEN NOFZIGER RICH
Ellen Nofziger Rich was born January 4, 1888, at Stuttgart, Arkansas, and entered her Eternal 
Rest February 11, 1956, in her home on Stryker Street, Archbold, Ohio. Her sudden passing was the result of a heart attack.  On March 21, 1906, she was united in marriage to John Rich who preceded her in death on March 24, 1951. To them were born three children: Clarence and 
Lester of Archbold and Olive of Goshen, Indiana.

She was a daughter of Jonathan and Jacobena Augsburger Nofziger. Her mother passed away in 1924 and her father in 1950. Her brothers and sisters are: Ida (Mrs. John Wyse), and Jennie, living in Archbold; Harvey, residing near Wauseon; and Simon, living in Stuttgart, Arkansas.  She has been a Christian since her youth, a loyal supporter of 'her church and a regular church attendant. Her devoted living has made immeasurable contributions to her family, the church and the community.  Her transition into Life, in the most complete sense, leaves her three children and six grandchildren to continue their labors for The Kingdom. 

Memorial services were held on February 14, 1956, at the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold, Ohio, with Rev. Dan Sommers as the officiating minister. Interment in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Her faithfulness and diligence in upholding her convictions and Christian standards is a challenge to others long to be cherished and great is her reward.

Lizzie Short Rufenacht
Lizzie, daughter of Christian and Jacobena Short, was born near Archbold, Ohio, Dec. 5, 1880, died 
March 25, 1943, aged 62 years, 3 months, 20 days. Nov. 30, 1899, she was united in marriage to Amos Rufenacht. This union was blessed with 4 children (Glen, Jesse, Mary, and Ruth). In her younger years she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, united with the Mennonite church, and remained a faithful member until death, always faithful in church attendance while health permitted. Her death came after a lingering illness of over a year's duration. There remain to mourn her departure, husband, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 13 grand-children, and 1 brother (Albert), all of Archbold, Ohio, and a host of relatives and friends. One daughter and ten brothers *preceeded her in death. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving wife and mother, and will be greatly missed by the family and friends. Funeral services were held at the Central Mennonite church on Sunday, March 28, in charge of E. B. Frey and P. L. Frey. Text Phil. 1:21. Interment in Pettisville cemetery.

In youth she accepted Christ as her Sayiour, and united with the Central Mennonite Church remaining faithful until death.  The last 15 years she became hard of hearing, and spent much tine in reading her Bible. She will be missed in the home where Grandfather and Grandmother spent many years together.

PHILIP WEBER
Philip Weber was called to .his Eternal home, Monday morning, December 27,1954 at 9:00 o'clock. At the time of his death, God had blessed him with almost 78 years of life here upon earth. He was born January 12, 1877, near Pettisville, son of John and Margaret Weber. He resided in this vicinity all of his life. On February 8, 1900, he was united in holy marriage to Della Fether. In 1950 they celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary. To this union were born Mary and Carrie Weber, Earl Weber and Mrs. Olen Genter, all of 'this vicinity; five brothers: George of Archbold; C. P. Weber of Wauseon; Andrew, Pettisville; Art of Lincoln Park, Mich.; Bryant-of Pettisville; one sister Mrs. Clara Wiederkehr; 6 grandchildren plus a host of friends and others who were dear to him.  May the Triune God who shows himself in three distinct ways, with the Father, the Son and 
the Holy Spirit, now find all of you in a closer bond of love arid Christian understanding and fellowship. May we all have the patience and strength to bear one another’s burdens, in courage and faith, living always in the expectation of the life that is to come in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who gave his life for us, that we, through Him, might know life and know it more abundantly.

Interment in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Mildred (McLaughlin ) Nofzinger
(Oct 1976) 
Mrs. Mildred Nofzinger, 70, a resident of'1270' W. Mulberry Road,. died Sunday night at the Morenci Area Hospital, after a prolonged illness. Born January 9, 1906, in Fulton County, Ohio, 
she was the daughter of Arthur and Blanche McLaughlin Perry. On April 2,1925, she was united in marriage to Jessie Nofzinger in Wauseon. Mrs. Nofzinger was a member of the Munson UB Church of Christ, East Ogden Center Garden Club, Zion W.C.T.U. and Munson W.M.A. They lived in Lenawee County for the last 31 years. 

Besides her husband, Jessie, she is survived by a son, Joseph of Morenci; a brother, Claude 
Perry of Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. William (Lona) Parker of Swanton arid Mrs. Martin 
(Lucille) Stites, of Wauseon and three grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Morenci with the .Rev. Aden Porter officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery  A memorial fund to the UB Church .of Munson has been established.

She leaves to mourn her departure the following brothers and sisters: Verna, Lillian, Barbara and Aaron, with whom she :lived; Rosa (Mrs. Simon Nofziger), Henry, Dan, Adam, and Raymond all of Archbold; 10 nieces and 11 nephews, besides a host of relatives and friends.  There preceded 
her in death: her parents and one brother, Frank. 

In youth she accepted Christ as her Saviour, and united with the Central Mennonite Church, remaining faithful unto the end. On March 8, 1952, while spending , the winter in Sarasota, Florida, she was stricken with a Cerebral Hemorrhage, and about 5 weeks later was brought back home, where she partially recovered, .always bearing her suffering patiently, being resigned to the Lord's will.  She will be greatly missed by the family, and especially by the sisters who tenderly cared for her. But our .loss is her Eternal gain.

Olen Bigbee
Olen W. Bigbee, 74, of R. 1, Wauseon, died Tuesday evening in his home after a long illness. He was a native and life resident of Fulton County. He was in the Poultry Business and Farming for about 45 years, having retired in 1970.  He was a member of the Tedrow United Methodist Church. 

Surviving are his wife, Hazel M. Bigbee; one son and three daughters, Mrs. Fermin (Doris) Dohm, New Haven, Ind., Shirley Bigbee, Wauseon, Dale Bigbee, St. Petersburg, Fla. and Lois Bigbee, Toledo; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Tedrow United Methodist Church. The interment in the Tedrow Cemetery. Friends may call at the Penrod Funeral Home, Wauseon.

Milfred Baldwin
Milfred Ray Baldwin, 86, R.R. 1, Delta, died Wednesday night at the Fulton County Health Center, following a long illness. He was a life long resident and retired carpenter of Fulton County.

He is survived by sons, Charles of Metamora, Richard of Omaha, Nebraska, Donald and Henry both of Wauseon, Wayne of Lakewood, and Milfred, Jr. of West Unity; daughters, Mrs. Cora Mae Secondcost of Delta, arid Mrs. Mary Lou Davis of Morenci, Michigan; brother, William Baldwin of Waldbridge; sister,. Mrs. Tressie Churchill of Delta; 25 grandchildren. 

Funeral services were conducted from the Edgar Funeral Home, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Eugene Higgins officiated. Interment was in the Raker Cemetery.
 

She is survived by one daughter, Doris Klinger of Archbold; one son, Merle Klinger of Archbold; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Stuckey of Archbold and one sister, Mrs. Donald (Leah) Stevens of Wauseon.

Services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lockport Mennonite Church with Rev. Keith Leinbach and Rev. Walter Stuckey officiating. Interment was in the Lockport Cemetery.  Short Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ora (Dorothy) Nafziger of Archbold and Mrs. Otto (Louetta) Warkentin of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one son, Myrl Nofziger of Archbold; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Monday at Zion Mennonite Church with Rev. Ellis Croyle and Rev. P.L. Frey officiating. Interment was in the Pettisville Cemetery.Short Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by husband, Oscar; son, John of Archbold; daughter, Mrs. Roger (Pauline) Griffin 
of Columbiana, Ohio; brother, Milton Schantz of Archbold; sisters, Mrs. Lottie Schmucker of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mrs. Osse Wipf of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from Trinity Lutheran Church, Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Robert Kaiser officiating. Interment will be in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Edgar Funeral Home.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Frank Bender, Miss Ada Bender and Miss Mary Bender, all of Wauseon and William Bender of Leipsic.  Funeral services will be held Thursday 
at 3:30 p.m. in the Penrod Funeral Home, Wauseon with the Rev. James Riley officiating. The interment will be in the Wauseon Cemetery.

Survived by his wife, Erma; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Thomas of Lake Zurich, Ill.; two brothers, John L. of Stryker and Robert W. of RR3, Archbold. Services will be held in St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Archbold, today, Wednesday, December 29 at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Alan Siewert. Burial in the Archbold Cemetery. Grisier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband Clarence; 3 daughters, Mrs. Carl (Evelyn) Roth of Birmingham, Michigan; Mrs. Harold (Helen) Merillat of Ellicott City, Maryland and Mrs. Richard (Bonita) Saam of Maumee, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one sister Mrs. Orville (Irene) Eicher of Tedrow, Ohio; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Heer of Archbold, Ohio 
and Mrs. Edna Rupp of Tedrow, Ohio; nieces and nephews, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held on January 29 at 2 p.m. at Short Funeral Home with Pastor H. Albert Mann officiating. Interment was February 1 in St. James Lutheran Cemetery near Archbold, Ohio.

Survived by his wife, Nellie; three daughters, Mrs. E. E. (Gayle) Greek, Springfield, Va., Mrs. Richard (Glyde) Hollington of Canton and Miss Joyce Leavy; one brother, Maurice of Newport Richey, Fla., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday (today) at 1 p.m.; in Hollingshead Funeral Home conducted by Rev. T. J. Klaudt of Toledo. Burial in Floral Grove Cemetery, where the American Legion will hold graveside services.

Surviving are his wife Cara Lou; son, James W.; daughters. Marcia A. and Susan D.; father, Daniel  D.; brothers, .Daryl, and Stanley, and sisters, Virginia Frey, and Mrs. Navada Churchman, both or Toledo, Mrs. Vivian Rich, Mrs. George Shaffer, and Mrs. Anna Wynn.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John’s United Church of Christ, Archbold. The body will be in the Short Mortuary after 7 p.m. Saturday.  The family requests that any tributes be in the form of contributions to the Wayne State University Cancer Investigation Fund. 

HULDAH (Aschliman) STAMM
Huldah Stamm, daughter of Henry and Racheal Frey Aschliman, was born on March 10, 1895 at Stryker, Ohio and passed from this life on Sept. 16, 1977 at Fairlawn Haven .in Archbold, Ohio.
Her age was 82 years, 6 months, and 6 days.  She lived her whole lifetime in the area, most of those years, just one mile north of Archbold on the family farm.  Her family arid friends knew her to be a busy person, but always having time for others, and willing to be of help. She always held a sincere interest in her family and a concern for each ones spiritual well being.  On April 3, 1976 Huldah suffered a stroke. This required hospitalization and continuing nursing care. From the 
Fulton County Health Center she became a resident in the Evergreen Manor in Montpelier, Ohio and then transferred to Fairlawn Haven in Archbold, Ohio during August of 1976.  In her youth Huldah accepted Christ as her personal savior and became a member of the Mennonite Church. She has been a faithful member of the Central congregation. For many years she taught a Sunday School Class and was an active worker in the W.M.S.C.  On Feb. 12, 1919 Huldah was united in marriage to Fred Stamm. Through marriage she became mother, to Mahlon, Fred's son. Three children were born to Fred and Huldah, one son and two daughters: Walter Stamm of RR3, Archbold, Ohio; Frieda, Mrs. Orville Rupp, of  RR1, Archbold, Ohio; and Dora; Mrs. Tom McCalla Jr. of Carbondale, Illinois. On Sept. 7, 1970; Fred passed on after over 51 years of sharing life together 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, two grandchildren, four sisters and one brother.  She leaves to mourn her passing; one son and two daughters, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one .foster brother; Frederick Ganshaw of San Antonio, Texas, her nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 19 at the Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, Ohio in charge of Rev. Charles H. Gautsche. Burial was in the Pettisville Cemetery.

John A. Rupp
 John A. Rupp, 90, of Archbold, died Saturday night at the Fulton County Health Center in 
Wauseon where he was a patient six days after falling and breaking his hip. He had been in failing health the past year and for the past two years, he with his wife, resided at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. He was 
born near Archbold, living in the Archbold area many years before moving to Boynton Beach, Florida and spending the summers at Alanson, Michigan. He with his wife started Almeda's Candies in Elmira in 1924, branched to Alanson, Michigan in 1931 and to Boynton Beach, Florida in 1955 when they quit making candy in Archbold. In 1950 they sold to their son John J. Rupp and semi-retired. He was a director of the Farmers and Merchants State Bank in Archbold from 1921 to 1967, serving, as Vice President from 1922 to 1931 and since 1967 has been an honorary director. He was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Archbold.

He is survived by his wife, Almeda; two sons, Rev. Paul W. Rupp of Pekin, Illinois and John J. 
Rupp of Boynton Beach, Florida; 15 grandchildren: 12 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Axley of Toledo and Mrs. Clarence (Cora) Steiner of Pandora.

Services-will-beheld on Wednesday at 11 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Archbold with Pastor Charles Zimmerman and Pastor Roger Andrews officiating. Interment will be in the
Archbold Cemetery. Friends may call at short Funeral Home in Archbold.  The family requests 
that contributions be given in the form of memorials to Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home. 

Surviving are three sons, Clifford Henricks, Fayette, Burdette Henricks, Drayton Plains, Mich. and Jean Henricks, Morenci, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Hazel McKenzie, Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Lucille Bartels, Napoleon, Mrs. Marcella Biddle, Lima, Mrs. Rosemary Wagner, Pontiac, Mich. and Mrs. Joan Corressel, Ney, Ohio; 31 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Knightly, Windsor, Canada and one brother. Chancy Henricks, Montpelier. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the St. Caspar's Catholic Church with the Rev. James K. Say officiating. The burial will be in the St. Caspar's Cemetery.  The Wake Service will be held in the Penrod Funeral Home, Wauseon, Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a son. Hal, of Brownfield, Texas; three daughters, .Mrs. James Evers of Pioneer, Mrs. John, (Shirley) Taylor of Morenci and Mrs. Kay Robb of Brownfield, Texas; a brother, Harold of Fayette; a sister, Mrs. Edna Lutton of Clearwater, Florida; 22 grandchildren 
and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Robert in 1974. 

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with the Rev. Earl Stuckey officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. 

Earl William Reppert
is dead at 89
Earl William Reppert, 89, a resident of 218 North Street, died at 8 a.m. Monday morning at the Morenci Area Hospital after an extended illness.  Born December 17. 1886, in Morenci, he was 
the son of John and Annabelle Reppert. On January 10, 1935, he was united in marriage to Irene Ford in Angola, Indiana. He lived all his life in Morenci. Mr. Reppert was a member of the 
Methodist Church and the Morenci Eagles. He owned and operated Reppert's Market .for 35 
years ,until his retirement in 1948. He was very active in farming while his health permitted. 

Preceding him in death were a son, Theo Reppert; three brothers, Harry, Charles and Louis.  Besides his wife, lrene, he is survived by two grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Charles Fink Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Ron Keller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery . 

Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Art (Brenda) Michaelis, Toledo; three step sons, Don (Florence) Schroeder, and Dale (Mildred) Schroeder, Wauseon, and Wayne (Jenny) Schroeder, Worthington, Ohio; seven step-grandchildren; 17 step great grandchildren. 

Services were Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the church. Timothy Sonnenberg and Scott Silcox were the officiating pastors. Interment followed at Pettisville Union Cemetery.

HENRY BECK
Henry, son of Gottleib and Anna (Nofziger) Beck, was born on July 31, 1876. Departed this life in the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio, at the age of 80 years and 21 days. On Feb. 10, 1898, he was united in marriage with Emma Nofziger, who passed away Oct. 20, 1950, after having lived in happy, wedlock for almost 53 years.  This union was blessed with 3 sons and- 6 daughters: Florence, Earl, Elnora (Mrs. Harry Rupp), Ella, Ilva (Mrs. Lloyd Nofziger), Lucille (Mrs. Carl Rychener), Verden, Leonard, and Bernice (Mrs. Archie Kauffman). All reside in the vicinity of Archbold, Ohio. He was the last survivor of a family of 12. 

He leaves to mourn his departure, 9 children , 28 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, besides a host of relatives and friends. There preceded him in death: his wife, 6 grandchildren.

In early manhood he accepted Christ, as his Personal Savior, and united with the Central Mennonite Church, where he remained a faithful member until his death. His seat was seldom vacant, being blessed with good health until about a year ago when his health began to fail. His 
last few days on earth were filled with much physical misery, but on the evening of Aug. 21, 1956, God answered his prayer and took him home. The children have lost a kind and loving father, but their loss is his Eternal gain.

11, 1977 followed by burial in the Pettisville Cemetery .A Memorial Service followed at Zion Mennonite Church with Ellis B. Croyle and P. L. Frey officiating.  We want to thank everyone for 
the prayers and the many acts of thoughtfulness and kindness shown to our family. This has been 
a great help and comfort to us. We also wish to thank the rescue squad, Dr. Ebersole, and those who helped at the Fulton County Health Center.

Walter Bernath
 Walter C. Bernath, 77, of 407 Holland Street, Archbold died Saturday afternoon at the Fulton County Health Center, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was born in Burlington, O. and had lived in the area his entire life. Mr. Bernath was retired, having been associated with Vernier-McLaughlin-Probeck Company in Archbold for 35 years.  He was a member of 
Evangelical Mennonite Church in Archbold. 

Surviving are his:wife, Mildred; one son, Gene W. of Denver, Colorado; sister, Mrs. Harold (Alice) Merillat of Wauseon; brothers Glen of Archbold, and Roy of Wauseon.  Funeral services will be 
held today at 2 p.m. at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Archbold with Rev. Charles L. Zimmerman and Rev. Roger Andrews officiating. Interment will be in the Archbold Cemetery.

Surviving are her aged father, one sister, Mrs. Franklin Crossgrove; two brothers, Vernon and EJden,  all of Lansing, Mich.; nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.  Preceding her in death was her husband and mother, the latter just thirteen months ago.

In her youth she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, united with the Mennonite Church and 
was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Archbold at the time of her death.  About 
six years ago she suffered a stroke, which left her partially paralyzed. She was, however, able at times to leave .home to enjoy the fellowship of friends and relatives and to attend services at the church. She bore her suffering patiently awaiting the time her Lord would take her home. Funeral services were held at the home and at the Evangelical Mennonite Church on Thursday, Oct. 23, 1952, conducted by H. E. Bertsche and Walter Stuckey. Burial in the Pettisville Cemetery.

John N. Buehrer
 John N. Buehrer, son of Michael and Anna Buehrer, was born June 4, 1858, in the Opfertshofen, Canton Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and passed away at his home in Archbold, Ohio, June 25, 1951, at the age of 93 years and 21 days. He was baptized in infancy and confirmed in the Reformed Church near Archbold in his youth, of which he was an active member until his death. 
He immigrated to this country with his parents at the age of 13 years and With them soon resided on a farm in Ridgeville Township where he spent his active life until he retired in 1925,-when he moved to Archbold.  He married Anna Buehrer, Jan. 15, 1885. To their union was born six children: Walter Buehrer, Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Adam Schlatter; Rev. Emil Buehrer, Green Bay, Wis.; Mr. Samuel Buehrer, Mrs. Lydia Bock and Mrs. Henry Ziegler of Archbold. His wife preceded him in death in 1937. 

He is survived by his six children, 13 grandchildren and' 19 great-grandchildren.  The funeral services were held in the Ev. and Reformed Church, Thursday at 2 p.m., June 28, 1951, Rev. N. B. Wierwlll, pastor, officiating. He was laid to rest in the Archbold cemetery.

MRS. LOUISE M. (Gushman) CLAIRE
Mrs. Louise Mary (Gushman) Claire was born January 14, 1863 in German township, Fulton County, Ohio and passed away at Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Friday, Dec. 5, 1947 at the age 
of 84 years, 10 months and 21 days.  Mrs. Claire had enjoyed good hea1th until about two years ago, and her condition became so serious she was taken to the hospital two days before her death.  April 4, 1883 she was united in marriage with Joseph H. Claire, Jr., and they made their home on the farm where Mts. Claire was born, located northwest of Archbold. To this union, two children, Blanche and Myrtle were born. 

She was preceded in death by their daughter Blanche, Feb:8, 1885, and her husband; Sept. 9, 1890. One daughter, Myrtle M., survives. Mrs. Claire was the last living member of her family.  Following her husband's death, Mrs. Claire and Myrtle moved to Archbold where they resided for 57 years. Deceased was an active member of St. Peter's Catholic church for many years.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Grisier's Funeral Home and St. Peter's Catholic church conducted by, Father Francis, Miller. Interment 1n Archbold cemetery.

LINDA FAYE CROSSGROVE
Linda Faye Crossgrove, daughter and only child of Henry and Stella Wyse Crossgrove, was born Oct. 5, 1944, at Sarasota, Florida. She died on the evening of Dec. 2, 1947 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident n the morning of that day, aged 3 years, 2 months, 17 days. She is survived by her parents, three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wyse, and Mrs. Barbara Crossgrove, all of Archbold, Ohio, and also by a host of other relatives and friends. Linda had endeared herself to many people by her friendly smile and winning ways. She loved to go to Sunday School and had recently memorized the 23rd Psalm. Just two days before she passed away she spoke her first recitation in public at the Christmas program of Bay Shore Mennonite Church. Her favorite song was "Jesus Loves Me," which she often sang at her play. She has left a great emptiness in the hearts of all who knew her and especially her parents to whom she was very dear. May God comfort them in their bereavement and fill the void that has been left in their lives with the fullness of His Divine love.  Although Linda will be missed by many, we humbly submit to the sovereign will of our Heavenly Father, resting assured that she is happy in the arms of Jesus, who said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."

When a young man he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, uniting with the Central Mennonite Church and remained faithful until death.  He was a kind and loving father and neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him.

Benjamin Eicher
Ben J. Eicher 69 Loses Life When Car And Truck Crash Retired Farmer Victim Of Collision -- Mrs. Eicher In Hospital In Serious Condition -- Truck Driver's Injuries Reported Slight.  Benjamin Eicher, 69, well-known retired farmer, residing at Burlington, passed away in Memorial hospital at Wauseon, Sunday evening shortly after an auto accident that occurred on W. Leggett street in the southwest part of Wauseon at about 5:10 o'clock.  Mrs. Benj. Eicher is in Memorial hospital in a serious condition with fractured hip and chest and serious internal injuries, cuts and bruises suffered in the accident.  Mr. and Mrs. Eicher had been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Graber and children at their farm home southwest of Wauseon, and were enroute to their home at Burlington when the accident occurred.  At the intersection of the cemetery road and W. Leggett street just west of the foundry in Wauseon, their auto collided with a truck driven by Mr. John McKillip of Lima for the Meadow Gold Milk Company.  The truck was headed east, the Eicher car was headed north. A house-at the southwest corner of the intersection hid the view of both drivers it is believed, and the truck and car came together with great force, the Eicher car wrecked badly and the truck turned over on its side and the driver, Mr. McKillip suffered cuts but was not seriously injured.
Mr. Eicher was picked up unconscious and rushed to the hospital, as was Mrs. Eicher. Mr. Eicher never regained consciousness, and died a short time later. Mrs. Eicher's condition remains serious.  Well-known in this entire community, Mr. and Mrs. Eicher retired from farming and moved to Burlington a few years ago. They have many friends and relatives in this community.  Funeral services for Benj. Eicher will be held on Wednesday afternoon, today at the house in Burlington at 1:30 o'clock, and at the Lauber Hill Reformed Mennonite Church at 2:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Wm. J. Rupp. Burial in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, four daughters: Mrs. Harold Brehm, Delta; Mrs. Floyd Crossgrove, Elmira; Mrs. Walter Croninger and Viola, Wauseon; three sons: Orval, Swanton; Charles, Fayette, and Maynard, Morenci; two sisters: Mrs. Simon Rupp, Mqnroeville, O.; Mrs. Sam Schantz of Elmira; 
two brothers: Chris. of Toledo, and John of Ridgeville Corners.

He is survived by his wife, Avis, a son, Robert of Manhein, Pa., two daughters, Barbara Clark of Wauseon and Donelda Hantz of Angola, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; 
a sister, Gladys Meeker of Lyons; five step-brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Weicht Funeral Home. Burial was at Power Cemetery in Angola, Indiana.
 

Howard Elliott
William Erbskorn was born in Fulton County, Ohio, June 27, 1882. He died m his home in Archbold, Ohio, Feb. 21, 1941 at the age of. 58 years, 7 months, and 22 days.  He was united in marriage, March 19, 1909 to Maude C. Krick. To this union eleven children were born: five sons and six daughters; two daughters preceded him in death.  He lived all his life in Fulton ounty-except six years he lived near Harlan, Ind.   As a young man he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the United Brethren Church at Lockport, Ohio.  He was a kind husband arid father and a friend to all, always looking to the welfare of others.

He leaves to mourn their loss his dear wife, nine children: Mrs. Mildred Boger, 8pencerville, Ind.; Mrs. Irene Zimmerman, Harlan, Ind.; Mrs. Mary Fordham, Antwerp, Ohio; Floyd Erbskorn of Archbold, Ohio; Mrs. Gladys Richardson, Bryan, Ohio; Noble, John, Glen and Richard at home; 
six grandchildren, one sister, arid four brothers.  Those who preceded him in death were; two daughters, father and mother, two sisters and three brothers.

HENRY EICHER
Henry Eicher, son of Christian and Catherine (Schad) Eicher, was born April 30, 1880, near Archbold, Ohio, and departed from this life at the Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Wauseon, Ohio, 
July 20, 1965, at the age of 85 years, 2 months, and 20 days.  Early in life he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, united with the Mennonite Church and was a faithful member of the Lockport congregation at the time of his death.  On March 12, 1903, he was united in marriage 
with Mary Ligibel, sharing with her the joys and sorrows of life for 53 years. She was called away in death on December 3, 1956.

He is survived by *neices, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, and many friends. Preceding him besides his companion were his parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. He was the last of his family to leave this earth.

For many years he and his wife were occupied by farming northwest of Archbold, Ohio. In 1938 they moved to 701 N. Defiance Street where they resided until their deaths. His health began to 
fail rapidly in April, 1965, arid since then has been cared for at the hospital and in the home of a nephew, Amos J. Eicher.  He was a kind and loving husband, brother, and uncle. His friendship 
and open home will be missed, but our loss is his eternal gain.  Funeral services were conducted .from the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, and at the Lockport Church by Walter Stuckey and 
Earl Stuckey. Burial in Lockport Cemetery.

FRANK ALBERT GRAF 
Frank A. Graf, son of S. T. and Anna Mary Graf, was born in Wauseon, Ohio, Dec. 3, 1872, and passed away in his home near Archbold, on Monday, March 19, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 16 days. His entire life was spent in this community with the exception of 2 years when he 
was employed in the state of Illinois.  On January 6, 1898 he was united in marriage with Jessie Beuclair who passed away Sept. 21, 1926. On April 10, 1928 he was united in marriage with Arvada Aeschliman who survives.   On January 29, 1928 he accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and united with the Evangelical Mennonite church in which he was a faithful and diligent member until his death. For many years he served as a member of the Board of Trustees wherein he gave many days of service to God and the church. He lived a quiet, unassuming yet exemplary life, bearing patiently and without complaint his many months of failing health.

He leaves to mourn his departure a sorrowing wife, 2 brothers, Carl and Edward of Butler, Ind., 
and one sister, Mrs. Mary Holverstott of Dumont, New Jersey, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Her departure is mourned by four children, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Short and Sarah Nofziger, besides a host of relatives and friends.  Her parents, husband, three children six grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

SARAH (Sauder) GRIESER 
Sarah Grieser, daughter of Henry and Jemima Sauder, was born Jan. 10,1881, near Archbold, Ohio. Died at her home in Archbold, July 7, 1951, after suffering 11 days from a paralytic stroke, never gaining consciousness, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 27 days. On Nov. 19, 1912 
she was united in marriage with Amos Grieser sharing life's joys and sorrows nearly 39 years. 
She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing companion, one foster daughter, Jennie, (Mrs. Orval Sauder), four foster grandchildren; sister, Mary (Mrs. Henry Nafziger) of Archbold and one brother, Samuel of Elmira, besides a host of relatives and friends. There preceded her in death, her parents, one brother, Albert. In her youth she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Central Mennonite Church and remained faithful until her death.

There remains to mourn his sudden and unexpected death his loving companion, 5 children: Amos, Samuel, and Mattie (Mrs. William Nofziger), all of Archbold, O.; Harvey and Daniel of Wauseon, O.; 15 grandchildren, 1 foster grandchild, and 2 foster great-grandchildren.  Brother Grieser, being of 
a family of 12, only 2 brothers remain: Jacob of Archbold and John Wauseon, O., besides many relatives and friends.

In youth he accepted Christ as his Savior; and united with the Central Mennonite Church reaming 
a faithful member until he passed away.  Brother Grieser had enjoyed good health, and had been 
to visit his son Samuel with his companion and on arriving home just in front of the yard gate, suffered a heart attack, passing away: in the car.  He possessed a meek and quiet spirit, which 
is in the sight of God of great price. He was a loving husband,. Kind father, good 'neighbor, and 
will be missed by all who knew him. 

Her four children survive: Lloyd and Orval of Archbold, Ohio; Pauline (Mrs. Glen Gunden) of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Gerald of Stryker, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
All of Nellie's brothers and sisters had preceded her in death. 

Mom was a beautiful example of Christian love and patience. During the last few years when physical movement was so painful, she maintained a fantastic positive attitude toward life. Her devotion to and enjoyment of tier family were constant highlights. She would eagerly look ahead 
to family activities. Many who visited with her were amazed at her attitudes and came away encouraged.

He leaves to mourn his departure his four children, 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren besides a host of relatives and friends. His companion three grandchildren and one great grandchild preceded him in death.  Brother Grieser, being of a family of 12, was the last survivor. 

He spent his entire life in and near Archbold, Ohio, but his unexpected death came as a shock, while visiting in the home of his grandson Victor Coon near Winameg, Ohio.  In youth he accepted Christ as his Savior and united with the Central Mennonite Church where he was a faithful member until his death.

ROYAL JOSEPH GRIESER 
Royal Joseph Grieser, son of Albert and Priscilla Vonier Grieser, was born September 18, 1916, near Tedrow, Ohio, and passed away at Detwiler Memorial Hospital, Sunday evening, August 1, 1954.  Royal was married to Magdalene Detter on July 7, 1940. Their home was blessed with 
hree children: Larry Lee, Nancy Sue, and Roger LeRoy.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, 3 children, parents, two brothers, Kenneth of Archbold, and Wayne of Bryan; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Zuercher, Mrs. Edith Wyse, and Mrs. Rutheda Stuckey, all of Archbold, and many other relatives, neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10: 30 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Short Funeral Home with Rev. Charles H. Gautsche and Rev. Edwin Allen officiating. Burial in the Smith Cemetery near Tedrow, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one infant daughter, a son-in-law, one grandchild, two great-grand- children, four sisters and three brothers.  She is survived by five children: Laura, Mrs. Glen Rufenacht of RR2, Archbold, Ohio; Mrs. A1meda Short of RR2, Archbold, Ohio; Truman C. Grieser and his wife Beulah of RR1, Archbold, Ohio; Ruth, Mrs. 
Harold Short of RR2, Fayette. Ohio and Martha, Mrs. Gaylord Fielitz of RR2, Archbold, Ohio; 
22 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Abbie Wyse of Midland, Michigan; and Mrs. Amanda Beck of Archbold, Ohio; her nieces and nephews, many other relatives, neighbors, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Central Mennonite Church in charge of Charles H. Gautsche and P. L. Frey. Burial was in the Pettisville Cemetery.
