Obituary-Sarah Soule

Mrs. Sarah A. Soule, 87, formerly of Holland, died today in the Knights of
Pythias Hospital, Springfield, where she made her home the past 2 1/2 years.
Mrs. Soule was a lifelong Holland-area resident. She was a member of the
Women's Christian Temperance Union.

Surviving was a daughter, Mrs. Frances Netzkoff, Toledo; sons, Maurice H.,
Ellis W., and Gilbert R., all of Toledo, brother, Dr. Harvey Trumbull, Columbus
Grove, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Laura Sparks, Toledo; 10 grandchildren, and 10
great grandchildren.

W.J.Blacklock in Glenburnie at 2:30 in the afternoon.
Aunt "Fanny" was a registered nurse and at one time was head of the nursing
staff at Kingston General Hospital. Fannie McLeod was President of the
Kingston General Hospital Alumne Association in 1927-28.
She was a very ardent "automobilist" in the early days of cars. She served in

Church celebrated its 80th anniversary in 1954 a resume of its history was printed
in the Dresden paper. I mentioned that John Madden was one of the first men on the
Quarterly Board of the church. Another article stated "Much credit is given John Madden
for his efforts to keep up the Church's finances, for it always fell to him to collect the little
money that the preacher got." John Madden later left Lindsay Road and settled in
London. D Eric Knudsen, author of these notes states: "My grandmother Turner was
Helen Fretts, whose father George Henry Fretts was a brother of Clarissa Lavinia
Fretts, Mrs Thomas Madden, mother of John Madden. The older Turner girls often
visited in London with the John Maddens. They called them 'Uncle John' and Aunt
"Gusty" though they were really only older cousins."

insisted she be raised in the Garrow home. Sophia was run over by a streetcar while crossing the street and died of her injuries.

and 6 month old Edna. They stayed in Saskatchewan until 1927, the returned
east with their enlarged family and settled in Toronto. George joined the
Masons, worked for the Royal York Hotel until his retirement.
