- Seeking information on the family of William James BRYAN and Sarah NEWCOMER. They lived
in Farmer Twp, Defiance Co. They had the following children: Alice, Sadie, Elmer, Otis,

- Looking for info for Andrew J. KNEESE and his wife Sarah CARR. Andrew was born 1832 and
died in Defiance 1910. Sarah was born 1836 and died in Defiance 1894.They had 6 children:
Jennie, Ida, George E., Ella, Charles, Lena. Charles married Kathren DECKROSH in Defiance.
They had 2 sons Forrest Guy & Lloyd L. KNEESE. Forrest my father, attended Defiance
College and taught in a one room school house. Thank you for any info you can find for
me.They are all buried in Ayersville Cemetery.

- We are looking for information on James KENNEY, Jr. who was killed at Ft. Defiance.
He was a Private in Captain Squire Grant's County, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia,
commanded by Colonel William Mountjoy
James Kenney Jr. died at Fort Defiance on January 30, 1829. Is there any cemetery on or
near the old Fort or death records that early in this area?

KUSZMAUl) was born in 1848, I follow his daughter Estella who m George GIBLER. August

- In search of information about my great grandparents, Albert John "AJ" HINSEY
and Cecilia E. DAOUST. They married 30 Oct 1893 in Defiance Co., Ohio and then moved to
Auburn, De Kalb Co., Indiana in 1897. They both lived and died in Auburn; they celebrated
their 58th wedding anniversary together before "AJ" died 28 Feb 1952. Cecilia
died 5 Sep 1961. They had nine children; most born in Auburn, De Kalb Co., Indiana. I
would really appreciate any info on their parents; when they were born, where, etc..

- In 1853 Patrick WELCH filed on 40 acres in Defiance County Ohio. That is the same year
he married Ellen RODDEN (REDELIN). They moved to Hancock Iowa where their children were
born, then to SD. I would like to hear from anyone researching these names in that area.

married Rebecca KINTNER who died in Hicksville, Oh 27 Jun 1937. I think his family lived

- Searching for Miller C. VAN WAGONER, b 1808 Ohio, m. Mary J. _____, b 1810 Ohio. In
1880c Tiffin Co. he was age 72 and she age 70, married 40 years, with 5 children, 3
living. Enumeration states father born NY, mother born PA., and her parents born Ohio and
Virginia respectively. I believe these families are of German extraction but have not been
able to confirm.
Children: (1) Conrad Miller VAN WAGNER (note spelling change), b 8/14/1837, d 8/__/1914
Archbold, m Mary Jane HITE, b 1/18/1839, d 12/__/1916 Archbold. Buried near Evansport, Oh.
They had sevral children born in Defiance, namely (1) Perry Miller VAN WAGNER m. Mary E.
RIES (2) Bert VAN WAGNER (3) Frank VAN WAGNER m. Elizabeth HOCKMAN (4) Leutessa May VAN
WAGNER m. Clarence H. REPLOGLE, and (5) Homer VAN WAGNER.

- Seeking information about my great-grandfather, John KIESSLING. He was born in Germany
in 1871, died in Defiance, Ohio in 1960, and is buried near Marshall, Michigan. According
to his obituary he came to the United States in 1888 and made his home with the Nicholas
BOEHM family near Defiance.
Also according to his obituary, his parents' names were John and Elizabeth BOEHM
KIESSLING.
His naturalization papers were granted in Defiance County in 1892. He later moved to
Michigan with his wife, Augusta PRACHT, and spent most of his life there. He later
returned to Defiance after Augusta died in 1940.
I would appreciate any information about these family names. Thank you!

- I am Looking for info on the Charles Gardner CHASE family. I believe they lived in Adams
township and in Evansport, Ohio. I don't know which township Evansport is in. Charles'
wife was Charlotte FELTON, daughter of John M. FELTON. They had the following children
that I know of: Anne, Sarah, Harriet, Addie and Rueben. They may have had a son Fredrick.
