I am looking for the parents of Henry ESTERLINE born June 1821 Hanover, York, Pa. This family shows up on the 1850 census for Sandusky Township Crawford County. His wife's name is Christina born ca 1823 PA. Their children are David born Aug. 1845, married Mary Cathrine WALLACE; Susanna M. (Susan) born 1844 married John KIRKENBURG; Catharine born 1843, married Henry KIRKENBURG; Mary born 1849; Lydia born 1852; Henry, Jr. born 1853 married Hattie; Martha born 1855; Elva born 1858; Mandana born 1860; Emma born 1865; William born 1865. All the children were born in Ohio. This family moved to Millcreek Township, Williams County OH by the 1860 census. I believe him to be the son of Henry ESTERLINE and Mary from Maryland whose other children include Ephiram born 1825 married Martha Ann CHAPMAN; Andrew born 1817 married Martha ?; Eli born 1827 married Mary? I also believe that John ESTERLINE born Mar 1819 married Elizabeth KALER is the son of Henry and Mary. My ancestor, Thomas ADAMS and his wife Elizabeth RALSTON, lived and bore children in Bucyrus, Crawford county from about 1815 to abt 1834. Does anyone know when Crawford county was formed and from what counties? Does any one have access to the 1830 census of Crawford and volunteer a look up for me in regard to Thomas ADAMS? There is a possibility that one of his sons from his first wife, Henry S. ADAMS could also be on the 1830 census. Are there any prior census for Crawford? Uriah CASEY and his wife, Ellenorah LEITER were in Crawford County after marrying in Richland County in 1841. Uriah was born 20 Aug 1815 in Ohio and died 2 Nov 1893 in Crawford County. Ellenorah was born 30 Aug 1820 in Maryland and died on 16 Dec 1870 in Crawford County. She was probably connected to the Richland County LEITER Family. Their children were Emerilla (Emma) born 1841, Senia A. born about 1845, Maudilla born about 1846 and Calvin C. born in 1847. Emma was married to Sullivan ROSS in Crawford County on 17 Oct 1860 where he was employed as a Railroad Engineer. They lived in the county for at least 10 years. My mother and her family lived in Bucyrus, Ohio in Crawford County in the early 1900's (I am sure that they lived there by 1910, and still lived there in the 1920's). I am looking for ties to the CRAWFORD family, and would also appreciate any info on the JORDANs in Bucyrus. My grandfather, George JORDAN, worked for W. A. Riddle co. My grandmother's maiden name was CRAWFORD, and she, Neva CRAWFORD JORDAN, was said to have been directly related to Col. Wm. CRAWFORD. Since Neva and George and their children Lewis Stanley and Marguerite (I think my mother's christening name was Margaret Louise, but that she changed it as an adult to Marguerite CRAWFORD JORDAN) (she was called Meg or Pinkie).
