Michael BLUE lived in Crawford Co. in 1830 and possibly 1840 (could not read much of 1840 micro film). He married Catherine REYNOLDS July 15, 1843 in Crawford Co., OH. In 1850 he was living in Wyandot Co., Tymochtee Twp. OH. which was part of Crawford Co. prior to 1845. In 1850 he was about 61 years old. I'm looking for Land Records and Probate records for him. Looking for cousins! My great-great-great grandfather, Elisha GLEASON (born 1826, Chesterville, Knox/Morrow Co., OH; died 1890, New Winchester, Crawford Co., OH) was the postmaster of New Winchester. He was the son of Reuben GLEASON and Olive AUSTIN of Jamaica, Windham Co., VT and a descendent of Thomas GLEASON (born 1607) & Susannah PAGE of Sudbury, Middlesex Co., MA. Elisha served in the Civil War. He was also a blacksmith. He first married Lucy EVERS; then in 1872 he married Susan Elizabeth BUNSON/BRUNSON MORRIS, who was born in Marshall Co., AL in 1838. Their daughter, Hattie GLEASON, married Harvey GRANDSTAFF (born in Crawford Co. in 1869) in 1893. Harvey was the son of William N. GRANDSTAFF & Hester GRANDSTAFF, both of Bucyrus, Crawford Co. Hattie GLEASON GRANDSTAFF had a sister named Mae or Mexie GLEASON who married someone named WISE. I am interested in connecting with anyone who might be related to these families. SHOOP/SHUPP, WEICHOLD/WEICHEL Looking for info. on Lucinda SHOOP who married Charles WEICHOLD in Crawford Co. on 19 July 1866. Is she the daughter of Michael & Susanna SHUPP? The book Families of Crawford County, OH states that several SHUPPs moved to Nebraska. Did Lucinda? There is a Charles WEICHEL with wife Elizabeth in Townsend Twp., Sandusky Co., OH in the 1880 Census. They had two children one 2 and one 8. The 2 year old was listed ahead of the 8 year old indicating this is a second marriage and the older child was from a first marriage. Is this Charles WEICHEL the same as Charles WEICHOLD who married Lucinda SHUPP? Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
