LEIBERT, REISINGER, RIBLET, RIBLETT, RUSINGER, SEESE, SEIBERT, SPRINGER, THOMPSON, WILSON posted by Ted Brown on Wednesday, November 6, 1996

An ancestor I had listed as Sarah LEIBERT was married twice in Crawford county; Feb. 1854 she married Daniel H. RIBLET whose parents Daniel RIBLETT and Charlotte SEESE died in Galion. Her maiden name for this wedding was Sarah E. RUSINGER (REISINGER). She had a child named Alice 12/1854 - some records show Daniel Jr. died in 1857? She married a second time using the maiden name of Sarah E. RIBLET she married James SEIBERT (LEIBERT?) 6 Nov 1862. She had a baby named Mary in March 1863 in Dayton, Tippecanoe, Indiana...Alice RIBLET married WILSON in 1876 and had 7 children in Kokomo, Indiana before her husband died in 1892. Mary was called Mary LEIBERT until she married Isaac SPRINGER and moved to Pasadena CA and had 4 children, another son named Edwin LEIBERT born 1868 married a Francis Pearl THOMPSON. They had a son Edwin REISINGER LEIBERT in Pasadena CA 1903. Pearl died in 1908, Edwin Sr. near that time, Edwin Jr. died in Conn. in 1985...I have very little documentation for these life of Sarah Mary and Edwin before they came to California in 1895

MYERS, SHANK posted by David Shank on Saturday, November 30, 1996

I have a relative named David SHANK who was married to Lydia MYERS, probably in Maryland and in the early 1800's. I have a record of David administering the estate of his mother-in-law Sarah MYERS in Paris Twp.of Stark Co. Ohio in 1845. She had died there at the age of 84 and my great-great grandfather also aided in the estate. His name was Jacob MYERS. It appears that David and Lydia are living in Crawford Co., Cranberry Twp. in 1850 according to the census. I also read in the History of Crawford Co. 1881 that a David SHANK built the infirmary at a reformatory there in the 1860's. I can follow them into the 1860 and 1870 census, but it appears they move westward to VanWert Co. and I lose track of them....any help on this branch would be appreciated. Thank you, Dave MYERS, North Canton, [email protected]
