Clermont County Genealogical Society
BROWN AND CLERMONT COUNTY FAMILIES MENTIONED IN 1880 CLINTON COUNTY HISTORY
(Several years ago Helen Fisher received an interesting letter from fellow-member Hilda Blakney which included genealogical material which Mrs. Blakney thought might be of interest to Clermont County members. Helen shared it with the Society, and we print it, along with Mrs. Blakney's comments.)
Many years ago, when I was doing my first husband's Clinton County ancestry, I purchased the 1971 reproduction of the 1880 Clinton County History. I have been amazed at the number of beautiful biographies in which Brown and Clermont families are mentioned--some in great detail, many not in the index. You may all have access to this book, but few of you will have it in your own home.
