Pictures
and additional inscriptions taken by Pamela Smith, CCGS member
in May 2008. This cemetery
was in very good shape for its age and
almost all the stones are up and in good condition. What a
beautiful
town to have ancestors buried in – right along the river. A lot of
Civil War soldiers are buried in this cemetery.
The larger monuments
are in excellent shape for their ages. Unfortunately a severe storm hit
in June
2008, please see my photos. This hindered my final “missing
stone day” as a lot of the areas were not
accessible due to dangerous
limbs. I am really not sure if any stones were severely
damaged.
