Family Cemetery
Spresser Hill Road, Pierce Township
N 38° 59.873 W
084° 15.490
Directions:
Take St. Rt. 52 to New Richmond from
Cincinnati. As you arrive at New Richmond,
turn left on St. Rt. 132. Continue to drive out of the
Village on St. Rt. 132. You will come to
Fagins Run Road – turn left. Continue on Fagins Run
Road. You will pass Motts Run Road.
Turn Left on Spresser Hill Road. The cemetery is on the right
on this gravel road. I parked in
the grass by the chain link fence. There is a gate-- you will
have to remove the chain-- to enter. Easy access.
Pictures and additional inscriptions taken by
Judith Malinzak and
Pamela Smith,
Trustees of the CCGS. This cemetery has some very old burials
and we were
able to find a few that were not recorded. There
was a very old tree in this
cemetery that is no longer living. It may have contributed to
the disappearance
of the Lewis’s graves we could not find. Supposedly in 1950
this cemetery was
overgrown and uncared for. That is not the situation
today. Nick Carmosino---
a neighbor (his property backs up to the cemetery) helped us find
Robert Donham’s
stone and helped us probe for others. I am sure Judith will
remember this day as
we had to run from a terrible storm that came upon us very quickly.
Stones that are missing that were previously seen:
James Lewis and Elizabeth Donham Lewis
