Cox-McElfresh-Wilson Cemetery
Mt. Pisgah Road, Ohio Township
N38˚ 59.461 W084˚
13.963
Directions:
Take St. Rt. 132 out of Amelia towards New
Richmond.
Turn right on Mt. Pisgah Road. Pass Bridle Ridge
Lane. Look for the
electrical towers on the right. If you have gone around a curve – you
have gone too far. The cemetery is located to the right of the towers
in the woods. You could probably pull off right in front of the lot to
the
electrical towers-- that utility trucks use and walk back into the
field.
The stones are about four feet into the woods.
Pictures taken by Pamela Smith, CCGS member and
Debra Thomason, volunteer. The owners of the property,
“The Hannahs” were so gracious to allow us to enter the
property. The cemetery was very small and we could not
find John Cox’s stone. It looks like children have played
in the area. The sun was not on our side this day.
