James OWENS of Harrison Co., WV (1810-1885) named his nephew John H. RUNNION (or RUNYON) of Champaign Co., OH, his executor. This James Owens supposedly lived in Champaign Co. in 1859, but I have not found him in the 1860 US Census. James' wife's name was Sarah; she died before the Census was taken in June 1880. Possibly James Owens (son of Moses and Rhoda (Lyons) Owens) and his siblings were orphaned in 1819. All were indentured by the County Overseers of the Poor in Harrison Co., (W) VA. James was indentured to farmer William VANHORN, and his indenture expired in 1821. He maintained a connection with the VanHorns, and possibly his wife Sarah was a VanHorn. Any help greatly appreciated.
