LEWIS b.16 Jan. 1848 in Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio. He married Sarah Elizabeth FUNKHOUSER 14 Sep 1867 in Champaign, Illinois and died 8 June 1921 in Dallas Co., Iowa. I am particularly interested in locating his parent's names. In the muster roll for Company G, 72nd, Illinois Infantry I find John N. LEWIS listed with Augustus M. LEWIS, also born in Springfield, Clark Co., Ohio. I have no additional information on John N. to determine what relationship Augustus M. may have had. If anyone is searching this line I would enjoy exchanging information with you.

OH. and his Captain was Nathaniel Beasley and the company moved right away to Urbana, Ohio. They were to rendezvous with General Tupper, and Brigade Major Nye. His entire service was at Urbana and this is where he received an Honorable Discharge March 1st. 1813. His Discharge was stolen from him at Urbana. Is it possible to get a copy of his Discharge anywhere in Urbana? I got his Mil. rec. from the Archives and it is not in the records. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
