Re DALLAS and NEWELL; In the 1860 Census for Urbana Twp., Champaign Co., I found a listing for James DALLAS (aged 75 yr.) and his family resising in a dwelling with Eliza NEWELL, age 45, a Farmeress and John H. age 16. I have no information on either of these persons although I can identify the other 6 persons, Rachael DALLAS, Nancy WOODBURN, James D. WOODBURN, John L. WOODBURN, Margaret E. WOODBURN, Isabela [CADKEY}, James [CASKEY] and Margaret [CASKEY], in the household as children and grand-children of James. Does anyone have any information on who ELiza NEWELL was or why James DALLAS and family was living with her?

I am seeking information about Rachel M. STEVENSON [STEPHENSON]. She was born about Sept. 16, 1803, and died June 16, 1864. She may have had a brother named Mills STEVENSON. Her husband was Samuel DILTZ [DILLS, DILS], who was born Sept. 1, 1794, and died Apr. 28, 1858, son of Joseph DILTZ and Mary JARRARD. They were farmers in Champaign Co. and raised a family eleven children: Smith Marcus DILTZ, John Wesley DILTZ, Harmon L. DILTZ, Susan DILTZ, Joseph C. DILTZ, William Raper DILTZ, Jarrard R. DILTZ, Samuel F. DILTZ, Llewellyn Gwynne DILTZ, Charles DILTZ and Richard S. DILTZ. The first two of these, born Aug. 21, 1821 and Jul. 28, 1822, may have been children of an earlier marriage of Samuel's, possibly to a Susannah VEACH, but this is not certain. Especially, did either Samuel or Rachel or either of their first two sons, Smith Marcus (d. 4/16/1858) or John Wesley (d. 9/4/1897), have as obituary? Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
