I am interested in any information on the family of Isaac [1800-1856] Margaret (REED) DOUGLASS [1810-1873] married in Butler County 12 March 1828. Isaac was born somewhere in Pennsylvania 11 September 1800 and Margaret was born in Ohio 19 April 1810. There were four children of this union born in Ohio, William C. (1 Jul. 1830), the twins Elizabeth and Margaret (abt. 1833), and Rebecca (Oct. 1837}. Isaac Douglass was a carpenter and moved his wife and children to Hendricks County, Indiana in about 1838 where he had earlier bought 160 acres. There in Hendricks County they had six more children and died. After reviewing the transcription of A History and Biographical Cyclopaedia of Butler County Ohio Pages 623-627 I have found that our Margaret (REED) DOUGLASS fits nicely into the family of David and Ruth (CARRICKS) REED but, I have no confirmation. I would be interested in any information on this family and especially information that confirms or contradicts the theory that Margaret (REED) DOUGLASS was the daughter of David and RUTH (CARRICKS) REED.
