FRAZIER BIBLE FAMILY RECORDS 19 Jan 1999
These Bible’s were purchased at an auction near Orlando, FL several years
ago by Annette Damron from KY. She placed a notice on the Belmont Co GenWeb
for FRAZIER/ORR researchers. When I contacted her she very graciously
packaged and mailed them to me.
My gggrandfather was Wm Frazier, b 1790, d 7 June 1862, buried Pleasant Hill
Cem., Twp., Belmont Co., wife was Nancy, ggrandfather was John Frazier m 8
June 1864 to Ruth Ray in Belmont Co. Neither are listed in the following
but I’m certain they are of the same family. They were related and lived
near, at various times, to Giffens and Orr’s.

These are two very old Bibles and both seem to have primarily the same
information.

There is an obituary clipped from a newspaper in the bible – (This would be
Venora Christy Frazier and Bellaire is the city) Mrs. William Frazier, a
well known and esteemed resident of this city, died at her home on North
Jefferson street Friday night following a few days illness of influenza and
pneumonia. The deceased was 50 years of age and the Daughter of John Christy
of St. Clairsville. She was a consistent member of the United Presbyterian
church of this city. Surviving her are her husband, two sons, William at
home and James with the American forces in France and one daughter, Mrs. Lou
C. Curtis of this city.
Funeral services will likely be conducted at her late home, Monday
afternoon and Interment made in the cemetery at St. Clairsville

Oct 4 1888: Mr James FRAZIER d last Tues at home in St Clairsville. He was
buried nr Roney's Point, VA b Nov 30 1808 and 7th of 12 children. He marr
on Mar 23 1837 to Jane GIFFEN: 4 children survive, Mrs D. L. ATKINSON of W.
Alexander, PA, Mrs. John DUBOIS of Bellair, Mrs. W.Y. TAGGART of
Cincinnati & Rev S.R. FRAZIER of Youngstown. Mrs. FRAZIER d. May 7 1847.
He mar 2nd wife Mary J. ORR on Nov 28, 1848. She survives & children by
this mar. : MS Mary FRAZIER, of Kinsley, KS, & William F. FRAZIER, Mrs.
J.B.McMECHAN, Rev J.R. FRAZIER, of Davenport, NY, J.H. FRAZIER of Kinsley,
KS & William F. FRAZIER. Three bros. & 1 sis also survive
