Will of Jacob NEFF, deceased Probated Sept. 2, 1897
In the name of the Benevolent Father of all:
I, Jacob Neff of Richland township, Belmont Co., Ohio,
being in good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory, do
make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form
following: intending to dispose of all of my estate, and hereby revoking all
former wills by me at any time here to fore made by:
First: it is my will and desire, and I hereby direct
that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal
estate.
Second: I give and bequeath to my sister Susan Neff, all
my personal estate, including moneys and credits,., subject to the charge
and direction of item First herein.
Third: I give and devise to my sister Susan Neff for and
during her natural life, and at her death, to my nephew Crawford Neff, Son
of Benjamin Neff, and my niece Martha Diantha Neff, Daughter of William
Neff, in equal proportions, and to their heirs and assigns forever, all my
interest in the "home farm" upon which land my said sister now reside, the
same being Richland Township Belmont County, Ohio in section 20 Township 6,
Range 3, and being the east part of the North East and South East part of
said section containing 203 acres of land more or less.
Fourth: I give and devise to my niece Mary Bell Neff,
Daughter of Benjamin Neff, for and during her natural life, and at her
death, to her children, their heirs and assigns forever, the farm now owned
by me in Richland Township, Belmont Co., Ohio, containing 122 acres of
land more or less, the same being in Section 20 Township 6, Range 3.
Fifth: I do hereby nominate and appoint my sister Susan
Neff, executrix of this my last will and testament, and I direct that she be
not required to give bond as such executrix, and I further direct that no
appraisement of my estate be made, and that the probate Court direct the
omission of the same.
In the testimony thereof, I have hereunto set my hand
and seal the 29th day of April in the year A.D. 1880
