War Awards

The Medal of the Order of the British Empire was awarded for services of special merit rendered to the Empire by men and women in manual and other work done for the war. Published in The Times August 25, 1917. Munition Workers

During March, 1917 The Times announced the names of nurses that had been brought to the notice of the Secretary of State for War, for valuable service rendered in connection with the war. While researching a family member for West Otago, I decided as other lists, to record all names found with my notes, rather than just Otago and New Zealand names.
