We have extensive research material; books, magazines, CD Roms and Microfiche, all relating to Ireland, plus laptops and Microfiche readers for viewing.
Meetings are held around the Lower North Island; up to 8 held yearly, or more if required. These are well advertised both locally and nationally via the NZSG web site, on the members list, and sent to all local regional branches/ groups.
Our research days can be any day of the week or weekend and for any length of time, depending on the requirements of those who are hosting us.
We publish a newsletter several times a year with information to assist in your research. This is emailed out to members and posted to those, not on email. Our newsletters can also be downloaded from our NZSG webpage.
We hold a hands-on education workshop each year covering topics of interest for further tuition. This workshop is led by an NZSG Tutor from the Family Research Centre in Panmure, who travels to a venue, within our operating area, making the event available to everyone.
Subscription NZ$5.00 single and $7.00 double per annum.
Thereafter an entry fee to research days.
Membership entitles you to:

The English Interest Group Wellington is a sub-branch of the National NZSG Group but you don't have to be a member of National Group to attend.
We meet on the 4th Saturday of the month from February to November between 2 and 4pm in the Lower Church Hall, St Luke's Anglican Church, Pitt Street, Wadestown (map).
The charge is usually $4 to cover the cost of using the room.
We are an informal group and while we specialize in London we also cover the rest of England (and sometimes Scotland, Wales, Ireland, New Zealand and further afield).
The group loves helping people break down brick walls.
If anyone is interested they can e-mail Ann Ball ([email protected]) or phone (04) 479-6718 or just turn up.
The Scottish Interest Group - Greater Wellington (SIG-GW) is a sub group of the National NZSG Scottish Interest Group.
Membership to SIG-GW is free and open to all, there is no requirement to be an NZSG member.
SIG-GW runs research days three times a year in Wellington, Porirua or Petone. There is a wee charge at these events to help pay for venue hire. The next research day is on 2 September 2017.
SIG-GW has an extensive library, and members have access to the library at research days. Many members also bring along their own resources (including their experience) on these days to assist others in their research, particularly those new to genealogy.
